A quick question: are there any differences in the back-cover (most importantly in mounting points) of the speedoblock depending on the generation, i.e. are they identical and/or swappable? Happened to break the mounting ears on mine of a 1995 RD08 while carelessly tackling a motocross...
Selling as i dont use it and have another tour x, its in excellent condition with only a slight mark on the back where it was resting on the wall on the shelf. There is a stuck on GO Pro mount which can easily be removed.
The Senna intercom does NOT come with it and will be taken...
Have just discovered that the spacers within the rear linkage are no longer available. Two of mine were completely seized, the smaller one where the shock attaches is available from Honda but neither of the longer ones are. Has anyone found a similar part that will fit or could be modified...
I am reluctantly selling my bike as I do not have a lot of time for it.
No issues. Runs well. No corrosion. MOT till August. Around 11000 miles. Comes with heated grips, full luggage and Scottoiler.
Let me know of any sensible offers.
Some better photos to be uploaded later.
Ideally the header as I have just noticed a crack in the collar for the rear pipe where it attaches above the front pipe into the system. I can get it welded up easily enough (cut the old collar off and get a new one welded on) but on the off chance they are a straight swap I might just stump up...
My TA is just approaching 20,000 miles and the service book is a bit sketchy.
Its a 04 plate, 650. I got it with 18,000 miles on it almost a year ago and I'm guessing its time to get the spanners out.
The oil is still cleanish, but I think ill change it anyway, and I had a look at the...
I am currently drafting auxiliary aluminum fuel tanks for my RD07. On the left side, the mosfet regulator can easily be moved inside the toolbox under the seat. What about the coolant reservoir? Has anyone found a different location? It can't be moved to where the RD03 coolant tank sits because...
SOLD A 1956 AJS Model 30 600cc Twin, Jampots, Burman gearbox, tin primary chaincase, 6v electrics (electronic regulator), prop stand. 2 previous keepers, an older restoration by the previous owner and used lightly but regularly by him until I purchased it earlier this year.
It starts easily and...
Hi again oh knowledgeable ones
Here is my next issue that needs attention. The left hand engine casing is corroded and pitted. I can sort that out easily enough but the finish on my casings looks to be a grey brown tint. Is this a spray paint finish or liquor? Can I get that same finish?
Ten years ago, you could easily find VERY nice Dommies for around £1000.
Now you're paying £1000 for rusty rats. Nice condition Dommies are on Ebay for £1600-£2000.
Are they following the way of the Africa Twin ?? Maybe now is the time for me to stock up :D
Has anyone ever tried to fit a digital speedo with a magnetic pickup inside the stock speedo housing?
This could be a solution for keeping a stock look, but not dealing with that nylon gear packing up all the time.
Also, it would allow for easily switching between MPH and KPH.
Talk me out...
Found this while tinternet browsing. Might be of use to some one. With £/euro rates at mo it doesnt seem to bad. He makes it to order, ready to,fit, 1 week wait. Doesn't say will post to europe but that easily sorted i suppose.
I am extremely touchy when it comes to reproduced stickers. Been working for 20 years as an art director and can easily make the difference between superb and the rest. I can reproduce the logos with Illustrator myself (been using it since 1987), but perhaps good exemples already exist. Who has...
Just fitted some anakee 3s to honda transalp 650.
Bike seems to tip into corners realy easily, like too easily, nearly caught me out.
Getting used to it but wondered if anyone can explain why.
They seem much stiffer than other tyres , perhaps i could lower pressure a bit.
Set at 30/ 36.
I am replacing my clutch soon and considering replacing the clutch bearing at the same time. I don't have the service manual at hand, and I am wondering if the clutch bearing can be easily replaced without special tools or if it has to be pressed onto the shaft and/or into the basket?
your thought's before I get started
I'm thinking of converting a dommie for local classic scrambles club races
only stipulations are air cooled engine and drum brakes
I can get a donor bike for about £500 but need to swap wheels and probably forks and swinging arm
am I about to enter a world of...
I've just picked up this rusty Vigor, amongst the catalogue of woes is that the dipstick can't be unscrewed when the oil is hot. When cold it unscrews easily enough.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I was thinking of dressing the threads a bit to slightly reduce the O/D, but I'm puzzled as to...
