I am in the middle of converting my US-spec Transalp to an Africa Twin RD03. The frame and most parts carry over to both models. I am using all original Africa Twin parts when possible and upgrade parts elsewhere. All parts are being powder coated or refurbished.

My "front-end" saga continues with the discovery of seized brake caliper pistons and brittle caliper piston seals (that have been in there since 2001)
Having never done this before.....Is this piston good for re-use? It seems to slide in and out of the bore ok, but looks a bit pitted/scored?
I'm looking to get some stiffer springs for a project bike (with unknown forks) and it could get expensive if I end up buying lots of different springs & rates new. It's been a little while since I had a Honda Transalp but think they might be suitable, so anyone got any old Transalp fork...
I recently bought my first AT RD07. It`s an import from Austria, and I`ve learned that those models are restricted. The restriction in the inlet has been replaced with normal full flow inlet rubber manifolds/isulators by PO.
But what about the camshafts they put in the Austrian models...

Well the old girl will be stripped and a complete overhaul undertaken around the end of March. Now the original radiators are in a poor state but not leaking the fins are bent ect ect ....

I have a 99' fx650 which I purchased to refurb and modify. I do not know how it ran before it was dismantled. It was only started.
I have now rebuilt after refurb and I'm having trouble with engine hesitation with throttle open.

I have discovered that one of the above items has a small tear in it, so I intend replacing both.
I cannot seem to find a supplier, Honda Part no; 16111-MY1-000 states that it covers up to year 2000, mine is 2001.
Any ideas as to suppliers of new genuine replacements?

i have just rebuilt my 92 dommie top end new followers,oilpump disaster.
I have fitted everything back as itshould be however when turning the motor over on the crank to find the T mark.
As i rotate the crank i can hear a "click" is this the cam actuating the decrompression plunger?
