I'm trying to work out what a couple of the electrical components on my RD03 are doing. I would like to carry spares for all of the 'game over' failure parts when touring.
I don't understand why the indicator relays have two different part numbers, anyone got a clue?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
New member blackbirdflyer saying Hi to the Honda Trial Bike community. I am rebuilding a Honda XL 500R (1982) and hope that I can benefit from your collective expertise with the project.
My machine has suffered a camshaft failure (ouch) and needs a full top end...

My rear wheel is shot! Desperate need of a new, I'll take pretty much anything you have.
On my RD03 I have the original Mitsubishi fuel pump, I changed the contact points after 70,000km as part of a service even tho they where in working condition.
Now there is about 20,000km on the new points.
The problem is twice the pump has stopped working for a unknown reason, once...
Why I'm asking is because I only had CDI failure symptoms for 1 or 2 km and then I put my spare CDI in.
Basically what happened was my battery is in very bad shape and isn't holding a charge,
the last 3 days the battery was even worse.
I was on my way to a motorcycle shop to get a...
So I picked up my new to me RD07 a week ago in Ireland. I'm in Italy now, after about 1,000 miles, and the speedometer has stopped working. It was a bit "bouncy" before, but then about 1 hour after I spray washed the bike, the speedo stopped all together. I checked the cable on both ends and it...
Hello and happy holidays.
I am interested in learning of the age or mileage any members may have experienced a water pump failure on their AT. I searched the forum and learned water pumps are not frequently discussed. My 1990 RD04 AT with 78k km is being updated for a long...
Having some issues with my XL600RM PD04, suspected main bearing failure, looking for a donor engine to use whilst I tear it down and rebuild.
Would be interested in a replacement bottom end as an alternative to ful motor.
Hi, newbie to this forum and i come here seeking some help.
We have a customers bike here in our shop that came in with a failed big end bearing on the rear cylinder.
After rebuilding the engine, we are faced with the cause of the initial failure (that we didn't know about earlier).
Don't know if anyone has done this before, but I have been through every Thread, all 5652 of them and all the posts 53130 of those and have come up with a question for you all. In all those posts, how many have actually had an output shaft failure on a TA.? You might think i'm a bit sad ,but i was...
hi guys! i want to insure against cam chain tensioner failure (again) and found this mod. what do you think? i believe this couldn`t do anything bad. please check link below. cheers, Ignas.

Last summer I had some sort of engine failure with my AT (weird noise from the lower part of the engine). At least some bearing failure with the clutch has been solved.
Anyway I am afraid that this is not the main reason for the sound.. I have't put the engine back to one piece yet and...
Hi I bought an mot failure 1999 600 in November and finally got round to putting all the parts together
On it today. Up to that point it always started now nothing.
When I press the start button the neutral light dims so power is being used
But nothing from the starter motor. I've checked the...
I'm in the process of renewing one of the bearings in the suspension linkage of my 2002 RD07A as it was a MoT failure. But I was wondering if it was possible to convert the loose needle bearings to sealed caged bearings.
Has anyone done this? Is it worthwhile? What are the benefits?
Now, whilst I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of bikes;) Cars......That's a different kettle of fish.
My wife bought a Micra today and she showed me around it.
There is an awful crack and star crack in the black area of the windscreenabove the mirror. - Yes, it is much longer than the 40mm stuff...
How to delete a google apps script service??
Muggins here thought that a script to dump all the attachment files
received to my Gmail account into a Google Drive folder seemed like a
really good idea. In fact, it is a really great idea, but for the fact it
Every day I get an...
These old bikes certainly do run better without a wee little tear in the left carb membrane.
And thus endeth a multi-month run of ever growing frustrations at my failure to pin down the cause of this bike running, well, sh!te.
Doesn't help that all this coincided with me putting on a...
I almost had a MOT failure due to my heated grips having a slight movement in them. So as I am not at the HUMM due to a rectifier issue I’ve decided to get this problem fixed. Only issue have never done such a job before.
I have unscrewed and cleaned both grips;
