Morning all, new to the forum having long admired the transalp style of bike, I have now purchased a non running 1989 600 bike. So be warned there will be lots of questions asked. Stay in the north East of Scotland so plenty of great roads to use the bike on..are there any obvious non starting...

  3. Great Roads/Routes
Hi All, next weekend the wife is letting me out for 3 days (2 nights) which is pretty rare indeed, so wanting to make the most of it I plan to ride around Wales, I have scanned a rough route (see below) but would welcome local insight, as would hate not to maximise this opportunity. Friday So...

Hi I recently purchased a 1984 XR350. The Kickstart lever is broken (been welded badly and beyond further repair) so Im wanting to know if an XR600 lever will fit or if any other XR/XL's KS levers will fit. My spline is 19mm diameter. Did Honda change the spline pattern on other models. I...

Some dick in an Audi reg No: KP57BMV decided that the 75mph in the outside lane of the A34 following the same speed traffic in front of me in the rain wasn't fast enough for him. He was right up my arse, then undertook me with literally a foot to spare, pulled in front and then slammed his...
  8. Dominator / FMX
Hello, I am the owner of a Honda SLR 650 which I have owned for nearly there past 12 months. I will add. A couple of photographs when I work out how to add. :thumbright: The bike whilst not overly fast is fun to ride on the twisty roads.
  9. Dominator / FMX
I have decided to fit some ammo box panniers onto my Dominator after reading some of the bodgers corner threads in this forum. I have located a second hand Hepco and Becker frame for sale and need to find some decent sized ammo boxes. Most of them on ebay seem too small. Where can I buy some of...

Just a little something to stimulate discussion... You’re a budding super villain, looking to make your name in the villain world. Money is no object, but you don’t yet rule the world so some practicalities exist. At your sprawling estate in the Cotswolds you only have a 5 car garage, which you...

Seeing John's post about the carb on his R80 reminds me of a question I have. When I got the bike it would only run on one pot when cold so I stripped the carbs and cleaned everything out paying special attention to the choke circuits and now the bike starts on both cylinders from the off. The...

Oh well. I have never really looked closely at an AT, but I have just ordered one, I was offered £2k pex for my 50k Pan European barge. Great bike, but to big and fat. Nowt better for crossing France in a day with two stops, but a drag for nipping to the shops or navigating the destroyed roads...

Mrs just bought me a new whizzbang Samsung laptop for Christmas. Wow! Windows 8, lightning fast, miles and miles better than my old Vista Dell Awkward. Now, if only I could find where to put the paraffin in, I'll be cooking with gas (??) Jock :clown:
  19. Crossrunner / Crosstourer
Guys, I have heard that the crosstourer and crossrunner have a speed limiter fitted by honda to ensure that the bike is not driven at unduly fast speeds(130mph for the tourer and 123 for the crossrunner) when it is loaded up....can somebody confirm this and 1. can the speed limiter be...
