  6. Saw this when out riding today-What is it?

    Ride Reports and Pictures
Anyone know what this is? Found it in the corner of a field, middle of no where. Wasn’t locked, the door was counterweighted and came up really easily. I didn’t climb down it, the lid looked a little too likely to drop shut for my liking.

  13. Scottish bike show round up

    Other Bikes
Hi folks. Well, I went along to the show on Saturday, a very nasty day weatherwise. Makes you wonder who came up with the idea to have a bike show in Scotland in March, usually a month with snow still going about and roads covered in salt. Ok, the outside events, if they were on, were pretty...

Dear Sir, I am writing to thank you for bouncing my cheque with which I endeavoured to pay my plumber last month. By my calculations, three'nanoseconds' must have elapsed between his presenting the cheque and the arrival in my account of the funds needed to honour it. I refer, of course, to...

Hello to everybody from Athens. i am new here, so forgive me if this question had been answered before. I used the search field but it did not help. I bought my first RD03 last year, an import from swiss, in near perfect condition for it's age, with 37k km, still wearing the original...
  18. Output shaft trouble

    Africa Twin
My AT was diagnosed with a worn output shaft back in the summer - usual symptoms (noisy drive, oil leak, lots of play on the shaft). It's the final nail in the coffin for this particular bike as it would not make any kind of sense other than sentimental (and is that really sense?) to fix it up...

  20. Re: fun and good place

Re: fun and good place In the 70s I really wanted a snorkel coat. My mum eventually gave in and agreed to pay 50p a week on the Grattan catalogue. She rang them up and told me (a 7 year old) that they only had them in brown. I REALLY wanted a blue one. But I was desperate so asked her to order...
