I've noticed this last few months, that I feel a slight juddering through the front forks, when I brake.
I feel it through the...
As above I have the elec start model with the upside down forks.

Hi lads!
I installed the Ricor Intiminators about 4 years ago, together with their 5w oil. I can't know for sure, but I think the front is much stiffer now, than when I installed it. It really doesn't feel good on buHow often should the oil be changed when used with Intiminators?

What's the fork oil volume in an xl1000 ('02 plate), and what would the standard oil weight (is that the right term) ?
Carrying me round it feels a little soft, I think I'll go up an oil when I get it done.
The AT is feeling rather loose on the frot end so im going to change the fork oil.
So im going to use a thicker grade ...
So do you add X amount or X amount of mm from the top of the fork leg ?
I have a 1990 Transalp 600 and I want to make the suspension softer, especially the front, as it bottoms out on speed humps, even at quite low speed. (My previous 600 transalp didn't have this problem. I dont if the previous owner of my current bike had "Stiffened" the suspension up)

Having blown a fork seal on my Scrapheap NX, I am going to replace them. I was wondering if anyone knows the weight and volume of the oil required in a Dominator's forks. I did a search and nothing came up and I don't have a manual for the old girl. Any help would be appreciated.

I am just in the process of overhauling my forks for the tracker build. The forks have uprated springs in but they have always seemed very soft . Is it worth using different fork oil???? I know the manual lists ATF but it seems so thin :o
Fork Air Pressure - 0 - 5.7PSI
Fork oil capacity - 635cc in each fork
Front fork oil level from top of stanchion (leg fully compressed) 118mm
Ok... but is that with the springs in/out????
hi all.im gonna change the oil in my forks but in the book it does'nt tell me the oil weight.has anyone got any ideas.it also says that each leg takes 522cc of oil.forgive my stupidity but is this just over 1/2 a litre per leg?(sounds a lot,but thats what the bok says)cheers all
Trannie says 5W, has anyone used 10W?
Is it too thick?
Or preferable using 5W and increasing quantity a tad? Too much can blow seals, I know.
Cheers guys
I'm about to replace the fork seals on my 1990 Dommie.
I see in the manual that ATF is the recommended oil, I have some 7.5 weight fork oil surplus just wondered if this would be suitable?
