What should I look for apart from FSH, long MOT ??
Found one near me 43,800 miles, 2008 with FSH. £2350
Would appreciate any suggestions / feedback.
What's weather like with you? Crap day here; chucking it down all day so thought I would stay inside and post up some more information on my bike. I've included a photo with luggage attached but I'm only selling brackets and top plate (not boxes) with bike to let you see what it looks...
I have seen a 1998 AT with 10,500 miles on it and it is a minter but my question is... is that just too much money for the bike, It has a FSH 2 owners and a few goodies fitted, if I buy it I want to feel good about it. The seller is asking £3,450. Any views most welcome.
I have no connection with this, but have just noticed a cracking P reg. 5000mile, one owner, FSH, Africa Twin for sale in Auto Trader UK, for £2995 I would have bought it but have just got a tidy one meself so thought it needed a good home.
I've just returned to biking after a little break and have bought myself a cracking Anniversary model (99 T) Transalp. 24k miles and FSH! :p Well chuffed!
Does anyone know how many of these were made? And is there anything different apart from the paint job and badges?

Just got back from a 2hr ride and as I pulled up I could here a strange noise from the LH side of the engine... doesn`t sound good. Kinda like a scrapey, metalic rubbing sound from inside somewhere. Only had a quick listen then switched off, gonna let it cool down then go listen again. Initial...
my bike was serviced before i bought it at 34,000 miles.
now done 38,000 so time to oil and filter change.
that oil is NOT 4000 miles old!that airfilter is NOT 6months old!
lesson learned?if/when you get a bike with fsh and stamped book to prove, SERVICE IT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason I purchased an AT at the weekend. Never noticed them befor I just liked the look RWB its a 2002 but its got 27000 miles on the clock with FSH upto 24000. Just wanted an idea what sort of mileage you can get from these if cared for

Hello, this is my first post on the board as an almost AT owner.
I am almost at the point of buying an AT (97 model RD07a, absolutely mint, £2300). I've tried the bike and it is great to ride etc but I have a concern over the oil level and consumption. The previous owner did not check oil...
Just picked up a lovely 87 TA with FSH 34K.
After many years of riding Trials I decided to pack it and get a Seat !
The bike is running fine but for one small problem......
I sometimes get some popping on the after letting off the throttle when slowing down etc.
Its not too bad but...
There is an AT for sale near me @ £4.5k. It's an 03 model with 8k miles and FSH. It's also gota Touratech seat, handgaurds, headlight protector, engine bars, renthal H/bars and a centre stand.
It looks a straight bike but about £500 over priced.
Any comments from the knowing...
