I did a search but found nothing hence..well, this question :) What handlebar muffs are you guys using? Do the fit over the stock hand guards or not? I've an RD04 and tried the 20 quid jobbies from Louis but, alas, they're a bad fit - too tight on the switchgear because of the...

  10. Mechanical Advice
Hi all I'm looking for some help on this. I've bought some acerbis handguards which look like the rally pros and trying to fit them onto my Ta. I've got heated grips already fitted since buying bike. The heated grips have no distinguishable markings at all. I will take pictures and post up when...

Just a note of advise as I was very very lucky. Got a 2009 XL 700 transalp, 20 k miles on it. Always well maintained. Out for a ride to Chester on Saturday (with the missus) 100 mile round trip, when in slow traffic, I felt a slight 'click, when I used the clutch. About 5 mins later, I felt the...

So happy with my AT. Did 90 miles of green lanes today with a big group of enduros and a GS. But unlike the other little crossers, I had a fair trek on the motorway to reach the meeting point. Real dual sport. Rugged roads crash bars - proper job, really worked well. Can't say the same for the...

Several types starting from around a tenner on fleabay, double mounted too! Also some single pony mountes starting around 18 quid. Anyone fitted a pair on their bike? I know they are often lacking in the weather protection side, but I can soon sort that as I used to do on my trailies 2 years...

Just in case anybody on here actually owns a 125, they may be interested to know that BMW R1150GS handguards are a straightforward fit and offer good weather protection. They do hit the fairing on lock, but so would any handguards as the clearance is so small.

There have been a number of threads to do with replacing handguards with Acerbis, and others - i'm wondering if anyone has the old original ones left over. I'm after a pair of transalp/Vara hand guards - does anyone have a pair they don't want in the Devon area? Obviously I'm not expecting them...

Hi guys, has any one got any suggestions for handguards for the 650? I was looking at BarkBusters but they're pricey albeit very good. There's got to be a cheaper enclosed guard, ideally nice and wide to deflect the wind but with a reinforcement not just plastic. Will any other brands fit the...
