Hi guys! I have my AT set at roughly 700 RPM idle speed. Lower than that and it becomes a rough and jumpy ride. Higher than that and the bike becomes too eager, as well as some nasty clanking when selecting the first gear from neutral. So to me, 1200 RPM idle seems too fast, even though this is...

Hello fellow forumers, I'm off to see one on Friday, no idea what the condition is, belongs to a pal of my son, inherited from his uncle. The lad has no time to use it due to young family so is thinking about selling it. As far as I know it hasn't been used for 2-3 years. My first task is to...

Hi all would someone be kind enough to post a couple of close up shots of where the front indicators mount on a XL600LMF (Italian Import with single headlight). At present, there are a couple of nasty tiny indicators on my bike that are custom mounted below the headlight, but from all the...

Hi, As I'm using my TA mainly for commuting and I have to do about 60km of highway a day I was thinking about fitting a higher windscreen. I suppose this might improve the wind deflection a bit. Is there anyone who has fitted this on his bike? What are your experiences? Cheers, Niels

My new chain and sprockets(what a lovely word that is...sprocket:D) arrived today after a delay in the customs:rolleyes: Anyway, the old rear sprocket is a 45 tooth and the new one Wemoto have sent is a 49 tooth....using the bicycle derailleur principle, this means the bike should be lower...

The tacho on my RD04 won't read higher than 3500-4000 rpm, irrespective of speed. Everything else works fine and dandy. I've checked the wiring for any breaks - non visible. So,as suggested some time ago by a forgotten forum member (apologies to whoever that was) the ICU may be the fault. I...

Has anyone bought a set for their XV700 yet? Seen lots of posts for GS's pointing out the higher wear rate but none for the Trannie. If you have, I would be very interested in any feedback you have as I am currently in the market to buy a set of road-orientated tyres. Given the reputation of...

I have a 1990 Rd04 that needs the forks sorting. Basically it looks like the forks are twisted in the yokes but as well as this the right fork is sitting 8mm higher through the yoke than the left. How difficult is it to sort this (for a complete amateur!). Is it oversimplifying things to say I...
