I have removed my fuel tap off my CG125 tank, and the in the hole where the fuel tap goes, there seems to be a plastic insert (looks like a tube).
Can this be removed?
Need to get everything removed before i flush out tank.

No issues. Runs well. No corrosion. MOT till August. Around 11000 miles. Comes with heated grips, full luggage and Scottoiler.
Let me know of any sensible offers.
Some better photos to be uploaded later.
Set to with the debaffle today.
Cut the end off the two baffles so I could get 38mm hole saw in. Cut the baffle out and then welded a 42mm piece of pipe onto the hole so it looks a bit tidier. Gave it all a blast with some black vht paint and she sounds like a good un. Just got to swap the main...

So I went to see just how deep the rabbit hole goes and completely tore my dommie apart for a restoration.
I'm currently rebuilding it, and I've changed the pads on the rear, but there is only a pin to secure them on one end, which means that the pads won't stay in the caliper!
What am I...
Sorry I have googled but no firm conclusion.
XL700 2009 - is there a 'reserve' tank?
If yes, where is the switch to chose it?
Also do you have to fill it separately or just in the normal hole?
Yes...this is my first proper bike :occasion8:
p.s roughly how many miles should I get from a full tank?
I was riding my 125 to work today, I stopped at a junction and i started to hear a loud tappetly sound then my engine died.
The engine now will not turn over and is locked. I removed the rear cylinder spark plug and found the end has been broken off, it is bent and has a crack.
1989 TA 600, 55,000 miles.
I ride in London, so it's pot hole and speed hump heavy, the bike seems to to have developed harsh front suspension, it really crashes and bangs over the bumps, almost like it's not soaking up the bumps like it used to (unless the potholes have got worse)
So I failed an MOT on an exhaust hole I didn't notice had formed.
Fast forward to today and a bit of the wire brush and I have a lovely hole and surrounding rust. I guess I can patch it somehow but not sure of best way. Someone mentioned a sleeve but if I can avoid removing the whole system...
Modded the side stand today to stop those soggy field fall over events ? adult size hockey puck (75mm) two 6mm allen bolts and nuts. Nuts are pushed into a recess underneath and gripped by the rubber by drilling an 11.5mm hole part way ?
