I would like to replace my coolant hoses on my RD03. Honda parts are NLA. I was reviewing threads about the Samco or other aftermarket hoses and found threads that stated that some hoses were incorrectly sized.
Those hose kits are pretty dear. Can't see paying that much for parts that are...
My RD07A have started to behave strange when it is cold.
It starts with full choke but dies after a while. I can start it again but slowly dies. If I add throttle it dies at once.
When the engine gets warm there is no problem only when cold.
It can take 15 min struggling wit hstart gas and...
I'm Marco from Belgium. I have an RD04 from 1990. It's a great bike, but has had some bad owners that didn't maintain it. :(
I have replaced the rubber inlet seals, valve cover seals, fuel hoses, blablabla... =)
Now i am left with one part: a screw, a tiny washer and something on...
Does anyone know the size of hose used on the front and rear brake reservoirs.
I need to replace hose that's between reservoir and master cylinder. (front and rear brakes).
Would measure it, but want to get some ordered asap.
Bike is an RD08
Is there a knack to fitting the bit of the airbox which connects to the carburettors?
I tried for ages yesterday and got nowhere.
Each time I thought I had it all lined up nicely, I pushed down on the top and the hoses either squashed down or it looked like it had fitted then when I let go...
i am a new biker and also new to maintenance
i followed haynes and managed to change oil, oil and air filter, and spark plugs
had to remove fairing and fuel tank of course
now i am on my way to putting it back together and managed to put the fuel tank on and it starts up!!!! no leaks...
ihave replaced one seized piston all pistons push in with two screw drivers quite easy.
also have replaced hoses with braided hoses. brakes are spongy and no braking power. you would be afraid to ride this bike. if
i leave lever held in for a few hours lever becomes better. but then after a...
Recently acquired this bike and wish to upgrade the front brake hoses as the original ones are showing signs of age.
Checked out Venhill (2 hose race kit): Goodridge (2 hose race kit): Wemoto (3 hose standard set up).
Confused as to which I should go for. Doesn't the standard system go thro' a...
I had a leak from my carbs and the only way to find the leak was to remove them.
I had a mobile mechanic come round and he removed them so i could get some new hoses and clips and give them a good clean out.
Anyway, he has now let me down, the bike is sat in my back garden in...
I changed my air filter last night to a new K&N one (old one was grubby!)
When removing the tank, I removed all of the hoses / fuel sensor cable. Where the smallest tube on the right side of the bike attached, I had fuel coming out. Is this normal? I was sure that no fuel would come out...
These front brake hoses have been part of the Boano Sachs 48mm USD Fork Kit which I bought for a 1998 RD07a.
Since I was forced to use another brand (Swiss MOT Regulation again :(:(:() I now want to sell the ones that came with the fork kit.
35Eu + postage.
PM me if you're interested.
Most of Henrietta is now back where it should be and looking tidy. Under the tank is just the fuel pipe to the pump but the parts diagram seems to show other hoses (parts 45, 46 & 48). there seem to be 2 short pipes under the tank (nr the fuel tap), one is 10.5mm and the other 5.5mm. Does anyone...
Hi thinking of changing my coolant hoses , they all look fine but i would say that that they are original(16 years old now) and I,m off to Spain later in the year and last thing I need is a leak when away.
Has anyone used the blue /red silicone off ebay seem to be about 1/2 the price of the...
I've got the spare parts needed to rebuild a siezed (again) front caliper and replace the front hoses with HEL this weekend. I paid a local bike mechanic to rebuild them last year, is this something I'm likely to have to do annually or have I just been unlucky this time around? The...
I am breaking a W Reg Transalp 650, parts available include;
fuel tank in silver,
left hand radiator with cooling fan, (might separate)
engine / gearbox / clutch covers,
most brake parts
most cables ,
As my RD03's rebirth starts to wrap up, I realized I still have bent handlebars. I use 35mm bar risers and the height is perfect, I would like to retain that. I would ideally like to not have to change out hoses and/or cables by going with a differently-sized handlebar. Does anyone know which...
Happy Riding Weather fellas!
Got a stern reminder of the importance of locking up my AT at all times when some douchebag tried to steal it while parked outside a pub last week. Just cost me a new ignition switch in the end as they jammed a screw in it and it broke off but replacing it meant...
Hi folks, I've just replaced carb float chamber gaskets and diaphragms on my 1989 TA. Bike now runs great. However just as I was about to fit the fairings back on I noticed fuel dripping from the fuel tap. I checked all screws etc and all were fine. I refitted the 2 hoses from the tap that I...
The carbs are now out of the carbs. They will be degreased, cleaned up, covers will be zinc plated, and carbs will be rebuilt.
I popped the covers and found the rubber diaphragms to be ain good shape. No tear or crack. Nonetheless, I wonder what's the purpose of the pistons and diaphragm. What...
