Hi, just joined this forum as I have just bought a very nice imported ( USA ) 1972 XL 350 that was restored 11 years ago and not been used since. It has been part of a private collection including a Vincent Black Shadow. Plan to put oil down the plug hole for a few days and see how the engine...
Has anybody got a heat shield for AT RD 07, the lower one that fits between the down pipes and the tail pipe, mines a bit battered and not happy with it, paint finish not an issue but must be quite straight and undamaged.
I’m a Newbie from Düsseldorf, Germany and own my XL600R PD03 now since 36y’s.
By this way I like to expand my range to British XL600R riders.
Here is a 1st impression of my old bucket:
I recently bought my first AT RD07. It`s an import from Austria, and I`ve learned that those models are restricted. The restriction in the inlet has been replaced with normal full flow inlet rubber manifolds/isulators by PO.
But what about the camshafts they put in the Austrian models...

Good day one and all.

The plan is for some long distance rough trail riding over to Europe, British exit be dammed, which I...
Can someone explain to me why the price of a Honda C90 on ebay on most cases seems to be a lot more than a Dominator? I know people are customising both bikes but there seems to be a massive demand for the C90 at the moment. Considering its the best selling bike ever I would have thought there...
Strange one, when cruising home 30mph ish the bike seems to pulse like the throttle drops and then returns...
I have a suspicion of the clutch plates/friction plates but wanted a second opinion

I currently have a 1990 ish motor (without kickstart) that is in need of a rebuild.
I have found a good 1988 motor.I believe the early motors had different splines on the gearbox shaft.
I am asking because I currently have a 14 tooth sprocket fitted because the motor is in a sidecar that I...
my engine is a 1990 ish motor my question is can I fit any of the variant of motor.I see some later ones have some sort of valve thing fitted on the left hand side of the barrel what is this.
My motor needs a rebore by the sound of it (rattles badly at low revs under load,I assume piston slap)...
Last week, I was in the Picos.
Don't get too jealous, though - i was in the car. Nevertheless, some superb roads and scenery.
And while in Potes, I saw this Dominator.
We travelled on the Plymouth - Santander ferry .... it's a 20ish hour journey but comfortable, and judging by the...

My TA is just approaching 20,000 miles and the service book is a bit sketchy.
Its a 04 plate, 650. I got it with 18,000 miles on it almost a year ago and I'm guessing its time to get the spanners out.
The oil is still cleanish, but I think ill change it anyway, and I had a look at the...
I have just stripped my transalp down and had the frame, swingarm and wheels powder coated. I will be starting to put it all back together soon.
The engine was running 'ok' before I removed it, but while its out what (easy-ish) jobs should I be considering?
Its done about 41,000 km
On June, 4th, 2017, I had a big problem with the front tire in the middle of nowhere in Sardinia (Italy) on my AT RD 07a. Unfortunatly it was Sunday and I had no spare tube on board. So it was great luck, when 4 (or 5?) Englishmen on their AT's came along and stopped to help us. One of them even...
I have been out of stock of radiator grills for awhile. Now they are back.
Introducing a new oil cooler protection grill as well as an exhaust shield to keep you from burning your pants when installing an aftermarket muffler without the original protection.
Grills and heat shield are...
