well to fund my next bike, this one needs to be going.
It's a BMW F650 GS from 2001
Tax till end of June but can Tax at cost, Mot a couple of months but only done a thousand since last one (no advisories)
Comfy and very economical (70plus with mixed riding) could do with a bit of tlc...
Well after a period of unknown patience from me (no really it was weeks!) I've picked up something that should see me till at least the summer (and hopefully longer) Comfort and economy with enough umph for a smile but keep me points free!
All I need now is a longer break in the weather to go...
Tried the bike today first time since before i had the op on my hand. There is a big ride on Sunday down here so i decided to try a short ride to see if i have any problems with the bike. The ride was only 20miles or so but was enough for me to know what i needed and everything seems ok.
Just totaled my soggy bits of paper up and the total cost of the up and down was £199.77.
That was for 172.5 litres (38 gallons) of fuel. Average is £1.16 per litre.
So my trusty KTM Adventure 990s over 1907 miles gave me a tad over 50 miles to the gallon.
And a bloody big smile :D:D:D:D:D...
After a couple of weeks waiting for the beast to turn up, my giant box of Jaffa Cakes has turned up and oh boy is this thing fun to ride.
Got to say it's the most fun i have had on two wheels in a long time.
