A mate has just bought himself an AT. Reg is S432***, the frame is JH2RD07A5WM304752 but the engine is RD04EZ804904 So, S Reg; but it was registered in 98, shouldn't it be a W?. The frame number shows it's an RD07, but is the engine an RD04? It looks like an RD07 Anyone any ideas?

Hello everyone! Long-time lurker, first-time poster!:D I have the luck of owning a 1998 model @ here in the US and have recently been doing some general maintenance to the old girl. My trouble has been leaking carb/intake boots leaking down into the "V" of the engine. The clamps are...

I'm trying to find out the "year of manufacture" of my XR400. I've written to Honda, but they've responded saying that they dont recognise the number I've given them. The number on the bike is JH2NE03ARWK3-----. I understand from another web site that the JH2 signifies that the bike was built...

Here goes. Seeing that I've been asked a couple of times what I'm planning to do with my Vara in order to make it look less like an old man's bike, here it is! You must all remember the old @ colour scheme, right?. Well, I'm planning on keeping to the spirit of the concept, but rather I'm...

The sidestand warning light on my @ stays on when the stand is retracted although it does dim down a bit. I have had the switch off and cleaned it but I don't think you can strip it down to get to the inside contacts. Two questions, 1. Is the switch repairable. 2. Would this...

If you think your local council is going to downgrade a BOAT so you'll lose access, you might think it would be worth writing a letter - and if you know a councillor has any involvement in off roading, you may think he or she would be the ideal person to contact. Don't bother. Under John...

Looks like you'll need to stick to major trunk routes if you want to be able to blat along at a heady 60mph in future :x Other A roads are probably going to be reduced to 50mph or 40mph limits... So that's pretty much guaranteed to be a 40 limit on any road you might think is fun to ride...

It's a small exageration to say the government has banned off road bike events. What it has done is prevent any farmer getting subsidy if they allows off road motorsport to take place on their land, even if it's just one amateur trial. Many farmers cannot survive without subsidy, and those...
