My RD04 will be receiving some maintenance shortly and I was considering fitting a K&N air filter in place of the current one (one of the straight replacement types, not the individual pods). Will I need to do anything with the carb jetting if I do this? Should I empty my wallet even further and...

Hi all I am thinking of fitting a K&N filter to my Rd07y (2000 model) I have a Motad Venom exhaust. Do I need to reject for this combination? My jets are standard at the moment and all seems ok but I a off to Austria in a couple of weeks so a longish run ahead and I don't want it running too...

iv got a normal foam filter in atm, that gets cleaned and re oiled ect, but was looking at the K&N type filters, how would you go about cleaning a K&N are they the same as a foam filter, do you use a certain cleaner then a tacky oil, or dont they need oil, or would it be best to stick with...

Hey. I have had my @ for four months or so now. The guy that bought it befor me had a K&N oil and air filter fitted. Its time to dump the oil and give it some fresh stuff. What with it having a K&N air filter, is is ok to put a cheaper oil filter in, or should I stick with a K&N oil filter...

got an average of 38mpg on recent trip to North Africa, 5000 miles with about 1000 miles offroad in Mountain tracks and desert. I read somewhere that the K&N Air FIlter actually does improve mpg significantly on the RD04. Does anyone know if this is fact or fiction, If its fact then do the...

After an incredibly long wait the new K&N air filter arrived. So off with the fairing, the fuel tank, the really fiddly and difficult to remove pipes, the 8 screws and there it was the old filter, which I'm surprised allowed the bike to breath at all. Really needed replacing, and on with the...

THanks for the replies re the Remus can question, I have done a plug chop, and it looks fine, so leaving the jets standard at present. Would it be okay to use a K&N filter, for long life, or safer to use standard ones? Any thought/experience appreciated. Bought the FMX to slow me down (2008...

Thinking about getting one of these. Boy in Dunfy selling them for CB500s for £40. Anyone got any experience of them & if so are they worth fitting? Also I suspect the bike would need to be rejetted if this was fitted.

I bought a No Toil foam filter for my XR250 and while I could go buy some specific oil for it I already have a K&N recharge kit for the K&N in my Blade..the oil is a spray oil and in K&N's traditional Red colour which i guess is mainly to see where you've already sprayed with oil. Safe to use...

Filter and Dynojet have both done about 2000 miles on my bike. I have not cleaned the filter as they apparently filter better once they have a build up of dirt on them. They would cost well over £100 to buy new, I'm asking £50.00. Thanks. E-mail me tim.humbug"at"

My K&N Filter is [email protected] Though I'd try a K&N airfilter in my TA as they flow air better than the stock paper one. When looking at it, I was horrified how course the weave was on the cotton cloth, the t-shirt I'm wearing would offer better filtration. You can see the 'holes' in the weave in...

I know that a few of you guys run your bikes with a K&N filter fitted. My question is how often do you clean them and what do you use? I also understand they have to be reoiled. where do i get the oil from?

 Hi, Can anyone tell me about Transalps with K&N filters in place of originals, I have never in all my motorcycling years tried them, do they have any effect on performance or more important economy and is there any modifications required to the carbs are they as good as the adverts make...
