Hi. I have had my 99' TA 600 for a while now, and I want to make my bike a little less soft, and also try to lift the rear a bit.
Is this possible just by modifying the original parts? Has anyone done this before?
In the front I added a few mm. of fork-oil, and changed the viscosity. That...
Anyone know where the handle to help put a 1994 transalp 600 on the centre stand actually attaches to?
If I had the handle here id figure it out,but I remember seeing a TA with one before but never paid an attention to how effective it was or where it bolted on as it was before I bought the...
Need to temporary refit the engine back into the frame of my Dommie, so i can finish off custom subframe and exhaust mounts etc.
;Anybody got any tips on the easiest way of doing this
;I better eat some Wheatabix because i found it heavy to lift out
My rear wheel rim looks like the alloy is lifting between some spokes in two places. Think it might be stuffed !!
So I need a rear wheel, or as I have posted on the wheels + tyres forum, does a Transalp rear wheel fit ?
---on my 2008 Transalp 700. Lately when going to start the Alp I've noticed that sometimes I have to wiggle the key or slightly lift it up and down before it will turn the ignition on. Any idea anyone what's going on and a solution?
I have recently noticed that my SLR seems to be leaning over further than normal when on the side stand .
When I stand the bike upright and put the side stand out ,If I put my boot under the stand I can lift it up about an inch. ie up and down movement.
This inch makes a big difference to the...
Thought I'd post this up if any XR owner is interested. I would be if I had one

...forks extended 80mm.rear shock preloaded 6mm,swingarm lengthened 80mm
could do with a stiffer spring if anyone has any info?
just picked up another thats been sitting under a tree for 10 years,2002 with 18'000 miles on it.
If you put the bike on its centre stand, grab the back wheel and attempt to lift wheel up and down, should there be any play????
I'm getting a few mm of play, and was wondering if this is normal or a sign of wear somewhere eg Linkages etc
My RDO7A has just passed the 30k mark and I'm wondering how long the rear shocks normally last on these bikes before they need replacing . I know it will depend on the different variables , weight , riding conditions etc. but just a general idea would be good.
Anyone got a complete side stand and bracket for RD07. Mine has bent at bottom and got so much sideways movement that when I park it and get on it, I can only just lift the weight up as it is leaning way too much
