Hi. I'm swapping out my '95 Transalp xl600v swingarm for an Africa twin rd04 swingarm and shock. The only part I can't get is the linkage knuckle.
Does anyone have one for sale or know of one from another model that will do the job?
Or just the hole centre measurements and diameters as I can...
Good Afternoon everyone,
I've been meaning to refresh the rear end on my Alp since it's MOT last year brought up this advisory:
If i remember correctly this was refering to the dogbone(?) linkage, or possible the monoshock top linkage. The swingarm pivot bearings are fine but I was going to...
After doing a bit of research, and removing the actual bearings im a little confused. Found on forums that linkage bearings were TA1720Z (O.D 24mm, I'D 17mm, Width 20mm) The ones i removed from bike were BM172417-1 (O.D 24mm, I.D 17mm, Width 17mm) Any idea which is the correct bearing to go...
Have just discovered that the spacers within the rear linkage are no longer available. Two of mine were completely seized, the smaller one where the shock attaches is available from Honda but neither of the longer ones are. Has anyone found a similar part that will fit or could be modified...

I was thinking of finding an used shock absorber that fits in the frame and linkage of the transalp 600, an rebuild it.
It's annoying that the stock damper it's not serviceable, as in change the oil like on the front forks. after some use the oil inside it's just water and I don't agree to pay...
Looking for some help,
I've taken off swing arm and linkage + rear shock, all nicely painted and putting it back together now.
Issue I have is it seems the bike has shrunk or the shock has grown - I'm about 2in out at the bottom. Original shock and parts all being reused.
Anyone know what...
I have been looking into the differences that have been made to the suspension linkages for the Varadero 1000.
There is a change to the Triplate & the Connecting rod from pre 2002 models to post 2003.
What I am looking for are the measurements for these items.

I am currently searching for new bushings and spacers (and bolts and seals) for the Pro Link rear suspension linkage, anyone know if someone are selling these parts?
Mine are very rusty and I am rebuilding the whole bike so I would like to get new parts to avoid future problems.
Does anyone has an idea from where to buy the linkage bearing kit for the VX 600 transalp?
I cannot find it anywhere...except
on CMSNL, it's a bit expensive but at least it could have the parts, but any other solution do you guys know?
Got myself another XR400R, about 6 weeks ago, with 2800 miles on it
It needed a bit of fettling and a good going over, change the fluids all around, grease the linkage and swingarm bolt out for lubing etc and basically put it back to standard, removing the fatbars/risers and Acerbis tank and...
