loud

I am looking for a new aftermarket exhaust for my rebuild. I tried something I bought off ebay a while back but it was really really loud. Any suggestions for ones which wont shatter the neighbours eardrums or break the bank? Cheers

Hi - running standard carbs and airfilter but with very free flowing (fekin loud) exhaust - standard jetas are 118f 122r - whats the best guess to go up to? Put the 122 on the front carb and get a 125 on the rear? Wemoto only do them in .05 increments so it would have to be that or get 2 new...

I am lucky enough to have both the original exhaust and a laser exhaust on my 1995 rd07. They both came with the bike. I like both, even though I prefer the laser one. But it is loud. Very loud. I suspect that it has been modified at some point. From YouTube I see that there is a piece inside...

I've got a non standard stubby thing of an exhaust on my 600, after taking the heat wrap off I've realised the cause for popping. The can is lightly slipped on with more gaps around joint than pipe... also gaps at header? Where the two down pipes join. also even tho I've now packed the baffless...

Hmm, Just debaffled my Vigor using a 64mm holesaw, not been able to do the 175 carb jet mod today...... But gave her a quick run out. Unsure if I like the loudness? Will get round to doing the 175 jet next week but think I may get some DB killers made, not quite sure yet. Had straight throughs...

Currently have an Arrow exhaust can fitted along with the standard headers. I've fitted an after market dB killer which has quietened it down a little but it's still fookin raw loud when revved. If I start that thing up when I'm on the early shift the neighbours will go ape! What are you lot...

G'day everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has a 1982 XR250R service manual pdf of just a photo of the page/s I need, I had one not long ago but when I sold my old 81 XL500S I sold the manual with it, I need to know how to wire the headlight and adjust the tappets, when I start my XR250 you...

I have a 1988 transalp , I've owned it about a year and there's always been a quite loud clunking at the front end when I hit a pothole or speed bump, or even just sit and bounce the front suspension. I recently renewed all the fork internals but that hasn't helped the clunking at all. Looking...

Evening all, about 18 months ago my friend Jay bought on eBay an old CB550 as a project base. the bike was running but not good enough to keep as original. So we took it apart and than over the past year Jay has transformed it into a cafe racer! Now it's all back together and today was a first...

As title, mine came with some gash pit bike bars on so after some standard bend, either OE or Renthal etc Also exhaust end can / system, either standard or aftermarket as long as it's not too loud (mine has straight through Arrow which, while funny, is pretty anti-social!) cheers Jon
  12. Dominator / FMX
Howdy - here's hoping this is a simple one - last week I tried to start my 96 dominator, turned over healthily enough a few times, but instead of catching, it made a slightly more graunchy noise than normal. Since then I just get a loud click from behind the battery, which is new and fully...

Are there any thoughts on why my bike produces a vicious backfire on deceleration. It,s not a regular thing but when it happens it really is loud .I,m worried that someday someone might shoot back.Is there a possibility of the timing being slightly out .Any wisdom would be appreciated. Thank...

Hi all i would like to fit an after market Exhaust for my AT RDO7 1995 i want is so so loud as its a way to get stupid car drivers attention here in Egypt and then they don't hit you (crazy crazy driver ) grrrrr i have metal panniers on my bike so i want it to be fitted as close to the...

Is there a definitive way of adjusting the clutch? Since changing the cable I cannot get it set right for correct engagement of the gears. When I start the bike I let her warm up for a minute or two and then engage 1st to start off and nearly always feel as if the gears dont quite mesh right...

Hi I'm in need of a standard baffle for my XR650R. It only has the the stainless end piece, no baffle, so it's way to loud. Anyone got one (have £) :thumbright: NOW SORTED, THANKS STEVE !

Laugh out loud moment today - full page Halvarssons advert in November's Bike magazine (page 61). The reason being the placement of the ad in the middle of a 9 page blather about new Harley and Indian models. But, you'd have to see it to appreciate my warped sense of humour. Hint - it...

Help needed! Went to fill up petrol today, pumped my tyres afterwords. I switched the key, started the engine and there was a loud bang. Sounded like a muffler bang/backfire but it was louder. The engine then died, as if it was weak and couldn't run on idle without 'help gas'. I managed to get...
