  1. Clutch Switch

    Sounds an odd question, but... Whilst lubing the clutch and choke pivot I noticed that there is a switch on the clutch, err, what does it do?

    I have fairing off, tank off. What else should I remove to get to steering bearings? Do I need to remove forks? Bike is xl650v4. Steering is OK. Just want to take opportunity while tank and fairing is off to lube bearings.

    I am starting to get the Project Kwacker towards an MOT and one of the issues that has arisen is a "sticky" front brake with the new pads remaining a mite too friendly with the disc. I stripped the pads out and found the previous owner who has done most of the real work already :) had lubed...

    :( Mmmm, pondering this one a bit as its doing my napper in so I thought I'd ask the assembled illuminatea for some advice... I recently fitted Oxford heated grips to my @. All is well with them now that they have had some glue applied :D , but looking at the RH, (throttle) grip, it does not...
  5. Clutch cable lubing

    What's the skinny on lubing our clutch cables? Are they nylon lined? (apparently, using oilish things in nylon lined cables is Not A Good Thing).
