  1. Dominator / FMX
For those that like that kind of thing, the current issue of Bike magazine has a feature on a French-made custom from a Dommie donor bike. July 2019 edition, page 20. The engine, bash plate and front half of the frame look familiar, but that’s about all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

from ABR magazine a good report on the above bike and I am reading with interest about this latest "gadget". Do bikes really need more "functions" like this...? If you buy a 275 Kg 124 bhp motorcycle and think you may need assistance for a Hill Start, are you really safe riding that bike around...
  7. Dominator / FMX
In case you haven't seen it, the Dommie is featured in the Used Bike Chooser section of the March 2014 issue of Bike magazine. A bit garbled though: on the one hand it praises the "solid engine" then suggests that "the major worry on a Dommie is the motor..." Don't buy Bike just for this...
  8. Triumph
Found this on the web, and it took me back in time. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GBa-3WtwhQ0/TzzXAhCkPGI/AAAAAAAAaN8/Nmf5SE8KL4w/s1600/rTriumphTrident31.jpg Alastair Laurie. I remember reading about his Tridents in the early eighties in Bike. (I Think it was Bike Magazine). One green and this...

Laugh out loud moment today - full page Halvarssons advert in November's Bike magazine (page 61). The reason being the placement of the ad in the middle of a 9 page blather about new Harley and Indian models. But, you'd have to see it to appreciate my warped sense of humour. Hint - it...
  10. BMW

Hold on to anything for long enough and it will be back in vogue. BBC News - Lederhosen and dirndl dresses make a comeback Now where did that old photo go?
  16. Africa Twin
Definitely worth a read - the 2 owners featured love their bikes, and only report the problems we all already know about. A good feature about our friend StormForce8 too, and the magic he works on his machines. Go buy Ride! Flyingcharlie.

Covered recently by Lowflyer, this is another warning about the dangers of riding on roads near deer, particularly at this time of year. At the weekend, I came across 8 of them in a lane near my sisters. Luckily it's a 10mph limit, but the potential is there for an accident, as they just dash...
  20. XL
In the latest edition of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine there's a rather nice XL250SA that's been restored...it even has a battery compartment cover, something which has been an elusive item for quite a few people who would enjoy seeing their own machines being completed. As far as I can...
