Spotted these for auction. They are made by Motad by the looks of them....same style as the ones fitted to the 600 that was robbed a while back and mentioned on here.
I'm not in any way...

A Micron Stainless steel silencer and link pipe, dimensions shown in picture, silencer is road legal and is marked BS EN-10088-PT2 (ie stainless steel) MTH10 (fitment?) .
It appears it would fit Honda Transalp 600/650 and XRV650/750 Africa twins but do not know...

I have reluctantly decided that I have to sell my 1998 XL600V-W Transalp (red). I am only the second owner, having bought the bike last December. During the last six months I have replaced the following items:
Exhaust - Motad stainless downpipes & Fuel stainless oval silencer...
Saw this '98 RD07A at my local Honda agent - a couple of local owners, 14k miles, standard trim aside from Motad engine bars, and in pretty decent nick - and at a reasonable price, too. So I had to have it.
I have worked for Motad since the 80s
We are looking at reintroducing a range of stainless steel crashbars (we called them Desert bars) that we used to sell for Transalp, Afica Twin etc
Any interest out there?
For which models?
Have taken these off as they dont fit with the rally faiairng too well
There are the desert motad bars.
they have 1 marks where bike was dropped by past owner on underside, never even saw this until had them off so its not very visable
They are stanless steel so dont rust and are very strong...
Have these on my bike, look like the have been in a hard fall and the mouts are bent and fixed again. i will probably have refix the mounts as the plate used was very thin compared what shouls be on it
how good are these bars though?
do they provide as good protection as the rear?
Hi all, I have a problem with the front pipe. It's rust in place, actually in the head. I've tried heat, WD & freeze spray from Maplins. It won't budge! Need to get them off to weld up a repair. I don't have the money for a new Motad system & can is not original, (bodged monster one I think) so...
Since fitting my Motad exhasut I have noticed that the idle revs have picked up to around 1700 RPM. Is this just because I have fitted the exhaust or could it be something else and just a coincidence that it happened after I fitted the exhaust? I presume it's just a case of adjusting the idle...
Hi all, Got a stainless motad venom for sale. Bought the end can a few weeks ago but then decided to buy a complete exhaust for my 1998 AT. As such, I now have a little used end can with new link pipe and bracket. Motad have changed the end can and the link pipe is about 1mm smaller than it...
Just a note to say thanks to Chad (Venom SS exhaust), Francis (fw750x) (Crash bars) and Jason (kitped) (adventure manual) for supplying me with stuff off the site. This really is like a little community of folks helping each other out and selling their bits off (sounds wrong on many levels) at...
I have a used set of bars which I think are made for motad, stainless steel
The right hand side has been used in what looks like a slow speed drop, I've tried to show the damage in the photos
I was going to just fill the damage and then paint them black but now have a new pair of bars
ok so after seeing a few wanted adds for africa twins and after seeing a 2nd hand ktm i like i am half tempted to put the bike up. think i would get much for it? i added it all up think cost me over 3k just getting it all sorted parts upgraded.
100miles done since service and tyres
Ive just fitted a Motad Venom on the bike, what a difference in weight, the OEM weighed in at 7.85kg and the venom was less than 3kgs, the sound is awsome too, also the original heat shield was fitted back on. :D
