  3. Transalp
I bought a '87 Transalp and is possibly needs another engine (front cilinder has 0 compression and is 'rattling'). I'm gonna pull the engine out anyway to check out the condition, but I'm not too positive. This Transalp has the black engine, do the newer gray engines also fit?
  4. Transalp
Hi, I posted this in for sale/wanted too. Does anybody have an old seat or seat pan? I have a bike stored in Ireland, but I'm in California, it's impossible to find any parts newer than '89 over here and I want to have a nice newly covered (comfortable!) seat for this summer. Thanks!

  9. XR
Hi, I've been searching the web but not having much luck. The older XR250 looks a little dated compared to the 96 onwards model. Is it possible to put the newer style seat and plastics on the older XR250? All the plastic kits etc. seem to be for 96 onwards. Thanks, Daniel
  10. BMW
Link: BMW Motorrad International It's an official BMW website with free download of newer models owner manuals in different languages. I did not manage to find the same possibility to download manuals on the German or Swedish official BMW websides. /Kjell

I'm looking at buying a new rear sprocket for my xr600 1988, as its an older one they seem to be not as available or as cheap as the 91 onwards. Can the newer rear sprockets be fitted to the older 1988 rear hubs or is there a gearing or different mounting hole issue. Andy
  15. Bike Comms & Audio
Has anyone powered the Autocom Easy 7 advance unit from the bike? I was looking on the Autocom site but all the stuff seems to be for newer models. Pehaps if I give them a call they might come up with something to stop it from eating batteries as I listen to music most of the time. Andy.

  17. Dominator / FMX
Trying to get my Dominator together only to find subtle differences in parts. There seems to be plenty of pre 96 bits around but not on. Does anyone know if the airbox, wiring loom, rear shock and linkage, upper steering yolk, front sub frame will interchange? Cheers, David.
  18. Africa Twin
Didn't ride it as it was p*****g down and the salesman wasn't keen on it getting skanked up. Anyway it had been down on one side and repaired. It has also sat doing nothing for 18 months. Not for me. In any case I went to see it on my old AT 120 miles in the p*****g rain. It never missed a beat...
  19. Africa Twin
I currently have a 93 AT with 40000 kms on the clock. It's a bit of a rough old dog but drives really well. Tomorrow I'm going to look at an '03 one, in black, with 5000 miles. Should I expect a difference in how these bikes ride, will the new one feel better or will they be pretty similar in feel?
