Hi, I bought an '87 TA about a month and a half ago. I have been very happy with it, and bought it as a replacement for my Suzuki GS500E that I had grown out of. I bought this bike because I wanted to do a road trip around Europe, around 2000km, and I felt I wouldn't really be comfortable on the...

Africa twin engine 1994 cosmetically in excellent condition was bought by myself but never run, in my opinion has had a new output shaft fitted so I felt if someone took the time to replace the shaft it should be a superb engine if I needed one. The guy I bought it from said it was a good...

Strange one, when cruising home 30mph ish the bike seems to pulse like the throttle drops and then returns... I have a suspicion of the clutch plates/friction plates but wanted a second opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok ,it's the middle of winter and before I go into a freekin' coma with this freeze-up. I though this might generate a bit of heat !! I need a PROPER XRV750 Replacement ! For some months now I've been excited by the prospect of a bike to properly stand tall on my AT side of the workshop. The...

I find myself in need of some help with the electrics on my "current" bike rebuild, if you will pardon the pun...:rolleyes::rolleyes: I have reached the stage on my Triumph TR6 build where I will be ready to wire up the electrics in the not too distant future... My "current" wiring...

The front guard on my 650 is very short in my opinion. Are there any recommendations for extenders out there please?

Just thought I'd post up some thoughts on the above charger. It's a compact gizmo built around a DIN plug that enables you to charge two USB gadgets simultaneously. It's voltage sensitive so switches itself off when the input voltage drops below a predetermined number, designed to protect...

Lots of researching and can't figure out what would be best for crack repairs. Front fairing on my 97 xrv has 2 cracks leading down from windscreen. 1 crack dead ends into bolt hole from top 1/2inch long, the other opposite side from top down for about 2 inches. Never done repairs on this stuff...

Hi mates, Ive been using lately the shell advance 10w40 ultra 4T. Last trip to Pyrennes I did 3500kms and I had to topup with 1/2lts . Last day of the tour I had a non-stop 800kms with arround 35-40 degress and my stator melted the isolation..., could it be cause of the lack of that 1/2lts...

Hello friends, just been arrived from a 3200kms trip arround pyrenees. When I got home after 800kms with arround 36degrees, my battery went almost flat. Ive been following the electrical fault-find pdf and the stator at 2500-3000rpm, two phases give me 55volts AC and one 75AC... Also, when I...

Hello, A couple of years ago (or more), I remember I promised you this video and I'm finally here to deliver! The 42nd Traverse is likely the best adventure ride in our North Island (New Zealand) and the track is named because it traverses State Forest 42. It's a beautiful place to be and is...

Unsure if this subject has been covered in any depth but its almost been a year since the launch of the new @T. So, 'users' will have had enough time to evaluate and assess the new bike's potential. I know there have been so many reviews written on this bike, but what I'm looking for is the...

Hi Gents, In May I have done a beautiful trip through Germany and return (2000km). Before leaving I changed a rear tyre and was surprised to hear a bearing was starting to fail. I was sure they did not have much mileage (and I bought and rebuilt the wheel 2 years ago). I thought they wanedt to...

Anyone here either changed the spring in the standard shocker, or changed it completely ?? I've added preload to my standard shock already which has helped, but it's still a bit lacking when loaded up with luggage. I'm reluctant to spend loads on an aftermarket shock unless I knew it was going...

Hi guys! This is my first post here on this forum... I live in Norway and up here there are loads of used TA for sale, some quite cheap. I tried a TA here the other day for the first time, and I really liked it despite some obvious weak spots. The front end was way to soft, the brakes were...
