I am in the middle of deciding whether to replace an output shaft on the AT, XRV750 - 2002.
Can anyone give me a list of the parts I need to order, gaskets etc to do this job? - gonna use the VT750 shaft.
Also is there anything else worth doing whilst I have the engine in pieces?
Is there much extra power on an RD03 for lights etc? May be selling my concours c14 and would like to hookup the led driving lights it has on it to the AT. Also would like a couple accessories outlets . I have an eastern beaver fuse box setup I would run everything through. Thanks

2002 Africa Twin with loads of good accessories, looking to swap for a CRF250L? It has 58000 miles but in good conditional having has engine rebuild and new output shaft bearing. Any interest?
I have a complete bike here in Ireland, bodywork is not great. Bike was bought in boxes and I've sunce resprayed the frame and rebuilt the engine with a new output shaft. Will consider selling complete if I get what I have into it
My engine sounds like a bearing is getting rough, gearbox output shaft I think. does anyone know if the injection engine fits the early carb versions? I need to swap the engine so I can take my time checking it all out and I need the bike to get to work on. Thanks.
I changed the front sprocket today and here's the output shaft,i know it's got some wear but not to bad I think, with the new oem sprocket there was no play on the shaft so I think it'll do me for a few miles yet?
I'm after a set of chain and sprockets for my 1987 xr 250.
Does anyone know if the sprockets are different on other year models?
I believe the engine is the same up to 95 so output shaft should be the same.
Hi everyone, i am considering a 1999 xr 400. Is there any known problems i should look out for before parting with my cash, ie do they suffer the same problems as the Africa Twin with the output shaft and bearing ? thanks .
Any ideas what to do now?
Sell it on?
What'll make me the most back from it in the least time?
Read a few past threads and still not sure which direction to head. As of yet it's still in France in a van being brought back home as we flew back Yesterday!
time for a new set- - the chain lash is getting too noisy - output shaft ok, bearings ok.
Busters do an xring set fo £78 - any good or should I get OEM front cog at least or would a D.I.D. set be a better bet?
I'm after a cheap/free RD04 engine and am happy to consider one with a stripped output shaft or other issues. If you have an RD07/a one, I might also consider this, but I'm happy to hang around for an RD04 one as there's absolutely no rush. I don't need any of the ancillaries...
