I was recommended to add a thread as I'm currently having another fad of re-building my Africa Twin. I bought it 5 years ago as a 'project' and proceeded to leave it in the shed for 4 years! Last Christmas I dismantled it in a shed, since then I've moved house and have the space to get my teeth...
So I’m rebuilding a ‘89 XRV650 and I want to paint the engine. The side cases I removed and I want them to be powdercoated but I’m in doubt about the colour. Powdercoat can be done in most RAL colours. Anyone ever done this and know which colour comes closest to the original?
A set of Givi (I think!) crash bars that fit all 600 Transalps (according to EBay sellers)
They are used and have scratches and a small dent (filled)
They have been given a coat of black paint to preserve them.
They were removed from a 1992 TA (pictured) as I am making a naked TA.
Has anybody got a heat shield for AT RD 07, the lower one that fits between the down pipes and the tail pipe, mines a bit battered and not happy with it, paint finish not an issue but must be quite straight and undamaged.
Transalp 600 & XRV750 rear lift link

I removed this lengthened link from a friends 1992 Transalp 600 as it was too tall for him. I now have that Transalp myself as he was...
This is a long shot but I figured I would give it a shot. I have a 1996 transalp in the blue/navy colour combo.
I have badly damaged my front cowl and offside front side panel.
Would anyone happen to have any fairings in this colour combo that they can sell?
If not I will have to suck...

I'm looking for some help on the mounting of the chain slider.
I've been working on a restoration and it has been some time since I've been at it due to health reasons.
When I went to put the slider on, the mounting point does not seem to be right. I'm wondering if one of the points has been...
I came out to find what appears to be a clear film separating from the tank with water or air trapped underneath, after a night of heavy downpour. The safety stickers appear to be on the outside which suggests that this clear coating is original. Has anyone experienced anything...
I wanted to restore the white paint for the dashboard light controls (Fuel, High-Beam...) of my RD03 (and I would not mind to do the same for the RD07).
I thought my patience would have been enough but I found out the characters are too small for free painting, even with the thinnest...

Set to with the debaffle today.
Cut the end off the two baffles so I could get 38mm hole saw in. Cut the baffle out and then welded a 42mm piece of pipe onto the hole so it looks a bit tidier. Gave it all a blast with some black vht paint and she sounds like a good un. Just got to swap the main...
I'm trying to restore my bike and the existing headlamp cowling was repaired and resprayed using rattle cans by the previous owner.
Does anyone have one still in original red colour and with the right Honda sticker, that they are planning to sell at some point? If so, please message me...
After taking a closer look at my side stand it was quite well worn firsly the paint was looking tired and worn out from the boots when using the stand .Secondly the foot which is in contact with the ground was showing some wear and tear from what i think is when the bike settles on its final...
Im sure this has been done before; can you give me sign posting to instructions for fuel tank removal (and/or workshop manual) as want to send it away to Dream Machine for Rothmans paint job :)
You know that moment when you poke something with a screwdriver and immediately wish you hadn’t...
I found a bit of flaky paint around where the seat and silencer bolt to the subframe, off side. One poke with a screwdriver later, I had a hole.
After a friend attacked the affected area with a...
