Hi everybody, I am new to this forum. Just bought an XRV750rd07a full stock that I am planning to rebuild to a lighter and more offroad capable travel bike. One of the ideas is to install Supersprox sprocket and 520 pitch chain to reduce weight. Anyone any advice or experience having done this.
Evening all, recently joined the forum after buying myself a ‘93 Transalp. It needs very little doing to it but I’d like to plan some repairs and basics. So, been asked before no doubt, but what’s the best source for buying spares and consumable, cables, electric parts, bearings etc.

Greeting from the west coast of the US. I have been lucky enough to import a 1997 TA. The motor was blown and I'm starting the rebuild process. I need to press the crank shells out of the case and I was wondering what people are using or any tricks. I was planning on turning a pressing...

So my bike is 30 years old next year,
It just passed the 100,000km mark last month and it also took me and my wife on a 60,000km tour over the last year and half so it deserve a bit of attention :)
My plan is to strip the bike down, repaint the frame, service the engine.
There’s a small amount of storage space under the pillion seat but access requires a spanner to remove two 10 mm screws.
This spanner is in the toolbox by the battery which in turn needs the Allen key under the rider seat.
To make the pillion seat quicker to remove there are two easy...

I bought a Dominator a few months ago because I want to improve my mechanical skills and a Domi should be simple and cheap.
So far so good.

It has a lot...
Have we noticed any affect on the value of pre 01/07/2007 bikes, especially in the South East?
I had a plan to get a post July 2007 FMX (there are few around) and re-frame a Vigor into it, but in the end gave up and went with an August 2007 XT660R instead.
Hi I'm experiencing some rough running whilst the engine is ticking over I think it's referred to as hunting, it also seems to miss fire occasionally on a steady throttle at around 2000 rpm with a soft sort of wet fart backfire on the overrun. Can anyone put there finger on a reason for these...

I wanted to take the carburetor apart and clean it up before hand, but having trouble getting two of the screws in the float chamber out - seem very soft and I don't want to ruin them.
I have PH and PZ...
Been doing a bit of research but no luck as yet, looking for an accessory bar for the 650 TA. Specifically a high bar above the instrument cluster, behind the (tall/touring) windscreen. Keep the sat nav higher up in view.
Does anyone know of anyone who has made one/seen one/bought one...
