My 700 has always run a bit hot. I am thinking about swapping those 2 tiny radiators for a single large one. My question is would it be a simple swap or is there anything there to stop me doing it, some technical reason? I guess radiators are pretty simple but would like to hear from someone who...
Do they fit over the existing plastic protection for radiator or do I remove them? Just curious before I start putting them on tomorrow. I have a set of aluminum guards handy but I was going to ship them to the states for my RD03. I'll keep them here if they are needed. Thanks
Took a fall last week as a car turned into me whilst overtaking. I am now in search for full left fairing and gauges/cluster to start off with. Radiator coolant was leaking, still to see if it needs to be changed or not. Any offers are appreciated. Cheers!
I have been out of stock of radiator grills for awhile. Now they are back.
Introducing a new oil cooler protection grill as well as an exhaust shield to keep you from burning your pants when installing an aftermarket muffler without the original protection.
Grills and heat shield are...
If anyone is intrested I have an RD07A frame, which has been beed blasted and powder coated, for sale. Please note that although the frame is stright it cannot be used on UK roads as the bike has been a CAT B cosmetic write off. However it can be used off road the frame is stright with the only...
1988 Terruzi / Orioli NXR livery
I am a fan of the 1988 #83 and 84 Oriolli / Terruzi Italian NXR factory team. One of the reason is that the bike's livery is almost the same as the "civilian" RD03. I don't know the history that prompted such similarity, but it pleases me as I also have an...
So I've spent all day riding on/off road at the Touratech event today and if I don't keep to speeds above 30/40 the radiator fan was on/off with the temp hitting 100c regularly. Is this normal for the Transalp 700 or should I look at changing the coolant. No idea when it will have been changed...
I am breaking a W Reg Transalp 650, parts available include;
fuel tank in silver,
left hand radiator with cooling fan, (might separate)
engine / gearbox / clutch covers,
most brake parts
most cables ,
Today I got the first bits of my Radiator fan controllers,
These are simple Pulse width modulation MOSFET motor controllers, they come with a control knob and variable resistor to vary the motor speed, but I'll be adding a thermistor so the speed becomes temperature dependant.
Well my radiator has obviously been hit by a stone and I've got 2-3 pin prick holes that are leaking.
What has anyone used to fix this problem?
I was going to just buy some Radweld but I've read a few comments saying that that will clog up a bike radiator as the tones are finer that the ones...
I noticed in the last couple of days that the fan was not coming on. I guessed it maybe the Thermostat, but now I am not sure.
If I take a cable from the battery ground and press against the radiator, the fan doesn't come on, I am guessing it is a ground switch similar to the Deauville. I do...
Leaky RHS radiator, LHS one in poor condition :(
There are people selling brand new radiators on ebay for around 140 GBP. Like this one 271495617464. Judging by pictures they're all from the same supplier in China; maybe Niu-X (see 141459066417).
The price is excellent, about the same or...
I always struggle :( with changing that front spark plug even moving the radiator doesn't really help that much. My main problem is initially trying to remove the spark plug cap , last time I ended up pulling the lead out of the cap (as I can't get my fingers far enough...
