Just picked up a FMX 650 that’s had a replacement engine.
It came with the old engine that’s got a shagged piston but apart from that it’s in good shape.
I’m looking to buy a new piston and rebuild the old engine.
My question is can I use the same diameter 100mm piston from the XR650L...
On the 600 transalp it says on the rev counter
X 1000/min - 1
I.e. To the power of minus 1
Why does it say that?
Surely it should just say x 1000/min? Ie when the needle is at 4, that means the engine is doing 4000 revs per minute
If you raise the revs or the minutes to the power of...

Hi everyone, from a newbie, that sounds ridiculous considering l'm 67, (how about old newbie) anyway, l've just sold my NX 650, and bought a 650 TA, mainly because the TA will be virtually vibration free compared to the dominator, but l need to raise the seat height, I'm 6' 5'', so if anyone has...

I have a '97 TA600 with a centrestand fitted. It is the type that has 2 u-bends for feet and you can raise from either side of the bike. It has only one spring fitted which allows the stand to sag and scrape the road sometimes when cornering. I guess there should be 2 springs? Also its a...
