I will be having a few days near Ennis in Co Clare in August and wondered about taking the "little 'un", and trying for a spot of laning while I am there.
Anyone got any useful pointers please?? Is there an Irish TRF?? :-)
Anyone tell me which would be best to join(as in a paid up member),theres a bit of a difference in price, but im unsure which is best/best for me
TRF=£45+£10 for local group
Any benefits either have over the other?
Ok guys so I have had my XR650 for 6 months now and the nearest I have got to off road is riding across a campsite to get to my pitch!!
This wouldn't normally be a problem except that the only reason 'er indoors agreed to the bike was if I predominantly spent the time green laning (she is under...
I kind of like them, though they're not for offroad use anymore. (None of them belongs to me, but I would like to get my dirty hands on the TA, and it's for sale in Germany för approx 3 700 Euro)
Just read something on the TRF forum about E-Bike insurance having an exclusion for Green laning.
Anyone insured with them that goes offroad..?
Thought you were covered..?
Is green laning offroad or onroad as lanes are legal public highways..?
Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Myself, JJTar and five others (made up of members of the Devon TRF and KTRC) spent and enjoyable day doing the lanes of the South Hams down here in Devon.
The highlight of the day for me was when JJTar got stuck in the mud just exiting a fookin great puddle and left me stranded in the middle...
My mate talked me into doing some of our local trails on sunday, some of these are tough on the KTMs so what I was thinking going off-road on the @ for the first time and on pure road tyres I do not know! Had a great time though, really surprised how managable the @ was, and how much grip I had...

Hi, I'm interested in finding more local, legal unsurfaced tracks in the area, (N.Yorks, Yorks Dales, N.Yorks Moors, Weardale etc), where is the best place to find this info, I haven't looked at or joined the local TRF, I assume that should be the first port of call.
Is there anywhere else to...

Hi, This is my first post on this forum. I can't afford a Honda yet but am in to the big trail bike thing so got a KLR. Problem is I don't have anyone to ride on greenlanes with so this seems like a likely place to start.
I am going to the next TRF meet but that isn't for another month so is...
I was driving (needed the 4WD and trailer!) back home yesterday and was pondering the merits and also the downside of tiding a bike on your tod.
There have been several posts here on using PMR and headsets to chat as you go along or to have an MP3 player on for some moosic. Yet for me, one of...
Just put this in here from the GS club site so it gets the maximum exposure

Firstly, I'd like to try and keep this focused on the topic rather than a TRF bashing thread. There's no reason why a similar thread shouldn't be started for other organisations.
I joined the TRF this year for the first time. Why? Well it was the result of two rides in Wiltshire, with...
