just took delivery of the roughest fmx ive ever seen , will spend the next few months stripping ,repainting and building something I really want ,don't know myself what that is yet... Will try and get some pics up of it now , and as it progresses .
When stripping out the underseat tray I separated the square(ish) connector on the regulator and found the connections to be burnt looking!
Should I be worried about this? Should I replace the connectors and if so where from? Help anyone?

Don't fancy stripping the forks so does anyone know the stantion length for my '79 XL185? Mine are pitted so would like to replace them but wondered if any other Honda ones will be a straight swap, or if anyone can say what other forks can be a straight swap?
Is there an easy way to access these? The Haynes manual basically has you stripping the whole top fairing. Is it not possible to remove the shroud around the instrument cluster and reach behind to gain access?
Rather than add on an auxiallary fuse box, I am thinking about ripping out the original and replacing it with a bigger third party fuse box.
Anyone else done this?
How are the original wiring loom cables terminated to the box? I am guessing there is bugger all slack to work with. :roll:
