Looking to replace all the fuel lines on my RD03 as a couple more leaking a bit nowadays. Rugged roads has 4or5 sizes. What is most common I would need? I plan on buying some bulk lengths. They have 4.5, 5.5, 7.3 and 8mm ID. Mine are so old going to be hard to determine sizes. I know I have used...

Hi ! I'm a new member from France (in Auvergne, in the center of the country) First of all, I want to apologize for my poor english (kind of a french tradition, I think...) I ride a 1988 gold honda dominator, I keep it as a "collector". I also love VW bugs (I own a 1303 super beetle), and old...

Paid the Ardnamurchan peninsular a visit on Friday, seeing as how Rederic of ABR forum had organised a little gathering at Strontian. Took the long way there via the Lecht, Glenshee, Pitlochry and Glencoe - no worthwhile photo’s from any of those locations – but I took a few from on the busy...

Hi guys. I recently bought my first AT RD07. It`s an import from Austria, and I`ve learned that those models are restricted. The restriction in the inlet has been replaced with normal full flow inlet rubber manifolds/isulators by PO. But what about the camshafts they put in the Austrian models...

600 Alp - Loaded test run Well, after over 400 miles since yesterday morning, I think I can safely say that the 21 year old Alp is fairly sorted. Took a 120 mile run over to the Red Squirrel camp site at Glencoe Saturday morning and met up with a fellow Alp rider. Red Squirrel camp site...

The rear shock on my RD04 is really harsh at holes and bumps, and it goes thru the whole bike. Its feels like the compression damping is too hard. I have tried to adjust it, but I can’t feel any difference. I have 30 mm free sag, and 70 mm rider sag, so the spring should be ok. (from the...

Hello guys, I have a question; I run the 17t front sprocket from JT on my RD04, however, JT does not make the rubberized version of the 17t sprocket (JTF314) which id like to have, they only make the bare 17t version. However - Rugged roads sells the 17t rubberized OEM honda sprocket...

now Avon Gripsters are no longer available I am considering replacing the rear with a Mitas MC24 ( I have them on the TA600) or E-08 (cheaper than MC24 & bit more road orientated). I only use the TA650 on the road or gravel but many local roads are poorly surfaced and often quite muddy. There...

OK so I'm on a roll now asking questions! Bike warms up lovely when stationary, temperature gauge showing where it should be however, as soon as I start riding gauge drops to zero. I'm guessing that either a/ Thermostat knackered b/ Thermostat doesn't exist. If either a or b I need to replace...

Bike was running perfect and I decided to fit rugged roads snail cam chain adjusters which only involves taking long bolt out etc. Went out on bike today and brake performance not good. The rear brake used to be very good and I didnt think I lost a spacer but what have I done wrong?

Does anyone know how to remove the lower triple clamp from a set of ktm 950 forks? I have the bearings off but the steering tube is stuck solid and my finger cant't take another whack with the lump hammer. Also when I get this off how do I fit the adaptor back in? Thanks

So I may be taking a ferry over to Dover from Belgium in a couple of weeks. Was thinking of going up to the Bath area but now just thinking of taking a left off of ferry in Dover and heading out towards Exeter or such. Really don't have a plan per se just trying to get a little riding in. How's...

So I have a 650v4 Transalp with 55,000 on the clock. Only proviso on the MOT from October was front discs are slightly worn. The bodywork and engine are a little cosmetically untidy- the engine's silver paint has come off in places and there is the spot of rust here and there but nothing major...
