I was out for a run with the Elefant yesterday, almost 200 miles through the Highlands, from Speyside to the Cairngorm National park, to Royal Deeside, up to the Cairn a' mount and home via Dufftown, heart of Speyside malt whisky.

My son came across some car bumper badges when he was clearing the garage in his new (to him) house in Devon.
I have put the badges on EBay as we have no idea of how collectable they are (50p, £5, £50 ?), then thought they may be of interest to Africa Twin riders.

I purchased some Keis heated soles on 31 Dec 2010. Only put them back in this year in early Jan 12 as its been mild.
Problem - no heat - tested the leads and all OK, eventually peeled open...

Got a XL700 new in September. Moved on from CB1300 & Royal Enfield as I reckoned it would be better for my European camping trips. Fitted Givi trekker panniers, Honda heated grips, & Honda large screen. Also made a rear rack that will accept Givi box and also useful for bungeeing stuff to;
I sent a helmet, bubble-wrapped and in cardboard with "Fragile" and "handle with care" all over it, to Quaycrest.
When it arrived the internal visor was broken in two places. That suggest a pretty significant bang. Obviously I refunded Quaycrest.

Been out all morning, got back at 12.45 but wanted to check my radiator fan was working, having had a tinker, so left the bike running to get it up to temperature. Even revving it a bit, that took ten minutes before the fan came on (At least it works:thumbup:)
