my 600 TA will roll forwards and allow the sidestand to fold up on the slightest of downhill slopes,
should the stand lock in place somehow?
or do I just have to remember to park her in gear?
title says it all really, will a transalp sidestand fir an africa twin RD07a. my foot has disintegrated and I now just have a spike. Ive seen plenty of translap sidestands at half the price of an AT stand. If so, any year in particular or is a stand a stand?
Quick question, will the sidestand for a Transalp XL 650V RD10 fit the same as the stand on a Africa Twin RD07?
I ask this because I'm finding it hard to find a replacement for my heavily damaged sidestand on my AT. I have found one for a Transalp XL 650V RD10 and figured you guys...

Anyone know where I can source one, don't really want to buy a brand new one as the bike is going at Xmas, but will if I must.
I've looked on ebay etc. but can't see any. Is there an alternative, as in from another model?
Parked the bike this morning at a friends house. As we were talking inside, we heard their 11 yr old niece screaming. We run out and my bike's on its side with her hobbling and screaming. Turns out she tried to climb on it, opposite the sidestand and it fell in her. Dommies are lightweight but...
Some kind chap just flagged me down and escorted me home with no rear lights at all either brake or rear light.
I noticed the sidestand light is staying on, is this linked?
it seems odd for both filaments to go at once, I have indicators and horn so it looks unlikely to be the fuse.
i'm looking at replacing my rear shock after xmas, mine has 94,000kms on it and when its on the sidestand you can, with one finger, make the bike go up and down about 4 or 5 inches! i'd love a nitron one from rugged roads but the budget won't stretch that far:( my searches and a mate pointed me...
Sorry to be tedious, but I've just changed the oil and filter on my RD02 and filled up with about 1.9l of oil. This time I thought I'd follow the manual and advice on here and remove the bolt above the brake pedal and let the oil trickle out until the correct level was reached. I'd run the...
as the title says, when trying to start on button, sometimes it doesnt want to start and when check, either a weak spark or no spark but when bump started, it starts immediately!. i'm helping a friend with his dommie. has a good less than a year old battery.spins fine. we were thinking maybe...
I'm selling this on behalf of Vern (project VND). It is an RD07 sidestand that has been extended by 50mm and internally reinforced where the extension is. (Thunder can vouch for Vern's work, sorry to drop you in it!)
It's £65 including postage if you send him your old side...
Although i haven't even looked at it yet since i parked it in the garage after norwich. Not long after me and Rob left the camp site. The sidestand light came on and stayed on. Any ideas what to look for before i strip it. Has that happened to anyone else.
Hoping for some help :toothy9:
I have a weird problem with my 94' XRV750, or maybe a combination of several problems?
First: When my sidestand is down, the orange lights is on (this is normal)
To start the engine I must have my sidestand up and the clutch lever in, orelse it wont...
Hello! I have raised the TA 650 and need the side stand extended, I can't find the post again by whealiebin. But does anyone know a welder near Kingston Upon Thames? Or anyone I can post it to that can help me out??
Could anyone help me please, the fella who I bought my XR off has mounted the sidestand on the swinging arm and a poor job he has done
The big shame is he chucked the broken piece off the frame, so I can't weld it back.
Could someone please trace around there original one, to give me a...
