After about 3 years, I'm about to kick off the build of my SLR650 scrambler/tracker.
I'm looking to get a 17" front wheel & am looking at fitting a 120/70/17 up front with 150/70/17 rear Continental TKC80's.
Now after some research, I'm not sure if these will fit on the current wheel...
just a quick one; I have an SLR650 with Continental Twinduro TKC 80 multi use tyres.
F - 110/80 19
R - 120/90 17
whats the best pressures? I know the manual says 22/22psi but its too low. Nothing on Continental website specifically to say what pressures although couple of interesting...
Anyone recommend some decent brake discs for and RD08 that dont break the bank Running the standard dommie rear wheel with an SLR650 front wheel. Looking on evilbay, prices range from £30 to £130 for a disc??
I want to save some coin, and instead of acquiring specific FX650 centre stand for my needs I am considering buying FMX650 centre stand for 1/3 cheaper instead. Anyone having any experience or comment on this ?
I'm having a bit of a clear out of stock and the following are for sale:
FX650 / SLR650 / FMX650 Camshaft, genuine Honda, brand new in box £100
FX650 CDI, tested and proved working, 3 for sale £50 ea.
I'm open to offers but I don't want to do any swaps or trades.
I'm in the process of planning an SLR650 scrambler build & am looking for some short levers.
Would anyone happen to know if the front brake & clutch levers are the same on a Dominator?
If not, would the be the same on anything else? Africa twin perhaps or any suggestions on where to get...
As above, somebody asked me if they will go... I said yes. But, a quick search reveals the wheel offset is different.. But that shouldn't affect the forks... Are there any other differences? Calliper mount maybe?
Hi guys, I'm about to tackle replacing the starter clutch on my beloved SLR650....and have run up against a problem - too MUCH information!
Do I need a 20mm or 22mm screw-in alternator puller?
I'm coming up against BOTH figures on t'Interweb...slightly complicated by my verniers, albeit at a...
I took my SLR650 off the road last month just to give it a clean up. Well the inevitable happened and whilst removing the exhaust I snapped one of the studs. I am now thinking I might as well take the motor out, remove the cylinder head for professional attention and do a proper job on...
I have searched the forum but can't find an answer to my query.
I have a '99 SLR650 which I intend to give regular oil changes, however motorcycle specific oil is much more expensive than car oil. I have always used car oil in my BMWs and British bikes but have read dire warnings of...
I have to sell my recently acquired SLR 650 which is a 1999 model with 20000 miles on and best described as being in oily rag condition. The bike runs beautifully but has a makeshift rear mudguard as a previous owner has 'bobbed' the original one.
The bike is in. Sutton in Ashfield, notts and I...
I've been riding bikes over 40 years and have had a very strange assortment in that time including CZs, MZs, Royal Enfield, BMWs, a few British bikes and 3 or 4 Japanese thumpers. I've just bought a 1999 SLR650 to replace my Yamaha SR400 as it is kickstart only and hurts my knee too much...
I was hoping someone could help. I'm currently converting my dommie to a cafe racer type thing. I've bought an SLR650 front wheel but can't find a compatible brake caliper anywhere, any ideas would be much appreciated?
Hi all. Spent a few quid on a write off Honda slr650 and a few more getting it back to perfect original running order. Always bothered about some scrote having it away with my pride and joy but a £300 alarm isn't really justified on my winter runaround that's worth less than a grand.
As most of...
This is the chrome bar that sits above the headlamp (P/N 61360MAK000) - AKA PIPE, METER MOUNTING.
I have a small GIVI screen that I want to try and the bar gets in the way. I don't want to destroy my existing bar as I'll probably end up reverting to standard.
