I will be riding dust for 3 weeks. Morocco and Tunisia. I wish to fit a foam sock over the stock paper filter. It is easier to clean a foam sock every other day than a filter ;-) Anyone has a source for such foam sock or am I the only dumbass to do that? :D
one of my rare days off without the kids yesterday. so it was raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock... well i'm gonna ride anyway. No pics cos it was too wet to get me thingy out (?!) but this was my ride back from Dijon.
It's been years since I rode in the rain, I mean real rain. These...
Hi folks first post from a prospective TransAlp owner. Im thinking of buying a 650 TransAlp with a view to doing some 2 up touring next year so firstly is the Alp up to a trip down the Rhine valey 2 up carrying a fortnights supply of knick's and sock's. Secondly other than luggage racks what...
I've decided that there are two qualities that one must rely on heavily as a motorcyclist: humour and humility. Especially when dealing with waterproofs.
Basically, because it is hard not to look like a total pillock, fighting a losing battle with one's over-trousers, standing in the road...
Have you done any cold water/Winter diving????
Reason i ask i had this idea the other morning on my way to work.Could you use the sock/shoe part from a winter diving suit as socks for biking inside your biking boots???
Waterproof and should be warm or am i barking(as...
Well they say it comes to all of us eventually, well it arrived this weekend. I AM OLD!
Let me ellaborate. My father went to the orange shop a couple of weekends ago and got himself an upgrade on his handset. Upon returning home he presented me with the new piece of kit, a sony ericcsson xperion...
Can anyone tell me if there are any options other than standard gaitors?
I've seen the sock type just wandered if there were any modern stuff out there. New bikes and upside down forks have plastic guards is there a reason the xr does not?
Best money I've ever spent on bike kit. 370 miles on Wednesday in the p*ss*ng rain, Bethune in France to Bolton. Dry warm feet under my soaking Sidi boots. Bought them last year first time Used bloody superb.
I have been recommended to the forum from someone on the VFR forum:thumbup:
SWMBO and I have two Viffer 750s and one really ought to go... and we fancy a V-2, most likely a TA 'cos it's more managable for Mrs Sock, though her legs are plenty long enough:rolleyes:.
Anything we should look out...
I am heading home to Scotland (from London) with my Alp in August.
Can't be bothered driving all the way.
I am on my Alp every day and is my sole mode of transport. And whilst I've travelled the country far and wide and all over Europe on it, I have lost the will for driving all the...
Well the meet was advertised with me and J arranging another scenic jaunt and we had 2 takers.
Mom was due to come but apparently had been up all night with a twisted sock or something, one day he will use his DRZ:rolleyes::D
Dave S gave his seal of approval and so the meet was on.
Well I suppose this is not really a ride report as such but my first experience of any kind of `off road` experience.
The closest I have ever come to leaving my nice smooth roads is a slightly bumpy country lane. So I set off and the first port of call is a quick break in Saltburn ready...
