  4. 97 XRV750 cam shaft sprocket timing marks slightly off during re-assembly suggestions

    Split the cases on 97 XRV750 but now during assembly the rear cylinder cam shaft sprocket timing marks slightly off...could it be off one tooth on lower sprocket, any suggestions? As you can see in attached photo the left side horizontal mark is about a half or quarter tooth below the right...

    Just giving my XR250 a service after finding her again after I sold her 15 years ago. Mortified to find that the rear rim has split! Cracked right through!!:( Has anyone on here got a spare? Or could tell me what else would fit? 1988 rim stamped J18 X 1.85. 587 DOT

    Looks like its time to change the chain on the 700 Alp. Sprockets look ok so just the chain needed. I've not got a riveting tool so is there a chain that I can buy that uses the old split link method that is reliable? Nick.

    Been spending lots of time on the AT at the moment, now have a problem! Last week I changed the air box as it was split & had seen better days. While doing this I freed the choke cables off as they were seized. Now it's running really rich and fowling plugs! Any ideas??

    I was cutting some lefover perspex from making ANOTHER bike screen using a jigsaw with a tile cutting blade. Nice neat cut but when i finished the cut had welded itself together again with the generated heat! And its a neat weld and strong as well. Couldnt split the cut without risking breaking...

    I think I might have gone too far with my chain splicer. It's the first time I have spliced a chain, usually opting for the split link option. I have the split link available off the old chain but not really fancying putting an old link on a new O-ring chain. Do you think it'd hold?
