As a relative newbie to the world of Transalpery, I have a question ;
is the 600 TA noted for having a particularly heavy throttle?
or do I just need to eat more spinach?
Throttle moves nice and freely with the cable(s) unhooked from the carbs so it's not the cable(s) seizing up but it is...

I get quite a disconcerting "clang" when my forks bottom out, and they bottom out more often than I'd like. I weigh 15 stone and am 6'5" tall and the bike has done about 36,000 miles so I reckon I should go for something a bit stiffer.
Is this a known upgrade? what have others used...

How would a XL 250 Degree trail bike cope with a 12 stone rider plus tent soft paniers and the like. I would want to use it for solo lightweight camping/trail riding but covering any distance I need to. Also are parts readily available including farkles.

I know this has been discussed before, but perhaps there is newer information around. I have an 08 Transalp 700 and I really need to sort out the rear suspension (and perhaps front too, but I think the rear is causing the problems). I've tried adjusting the damping to both extremes but still...
