    Has anyone removed the subchamber on your transalp , mine is 06 and have a staintune pipe but think if chamber was removed would sound even better

    my subchamber is off just a quickie before I get a beer and relax in front of the telly. Just spent this evening taking the exhaust off to get the subchamber removed. Done :p , and has taken me about 2 hours so far. Hard bits....... clamp between silencer and header pipes was rusted solid...

    And it feels gruntier above 4k, not massively but throttle response is improved, No doubt it will pass its MOT as the sound is not as loud as i thought it would be. It's strange that i don't notice any difference in sound levels at idle or below 3k. Now i've just got to see what the real...

    After watching the news and being told of these "carbon credits" that folks need to adhere to soon, it makes me think about the emmisions tests for bikes, does anyone know if it will happen and if by removing the subchamber on an 06 alp would cause the level of CO2 to reach MOT fail levels...
