both need to be in good condition and not in need of painting. I already have both parts but the bike has been given a crazy paint colour so it might cost me more to restore what...
Just noticed an advert for a load of XLV750R parts. In Switzerland but he seems to have plastics, forks, tanks, etc.
Returning from SW today and about a 100km from house in Belgium I get fuel and when I go to start bike nothing. Hit starter again and it fires but dies, goes on a few more times so I pulled in to a stall. Pulled hose off of filter and lots of fuel flow. I go to pump side towards carb and nothing...
Just a quick note to relay my experience with my tripmaster repair. My 2002-reg RD07A Tripmaster started to show "ghost" characters. As well as the true LCD character displayed I was also seeing the remaining elements of the character in the display - very confusing and difficult to distinguish...

when I relocated from Switzerland back to the UK last Year I brought my trusty old Africa Twin with me.
Unfortunately some things changed and I simply have no time space and use for it any longer.
I never got around to get it MOT'd and registered over here, so it is still on a Swiss...
Looks like we're now off to Switzerland in 2016 :D If any one has any advice, hotel recommendations and the best passes to ride I'd appreciate any help !
The plan is to ride to a single hotel and use that as a base to explore the passes.

Ive found this man in Switzerland who do upgrades and repairs of the Tripmaster (RD04-RD07-RD07A)
One of the upgrades is a hidden speed display that he kan activate + he makes a voltmeter mod

Trying to help a friend of my brothers in Switzerland who has got an RD04 ( i think so anyway from his description :rolleyes: ) he knows its a Honda Africa Twin !!
He has described what appears to be a very small minor weep of oil at the base of his water pump, he is almost certain its coming...
