Hi Fellow XRV enthusiasts. Most of you are probably on your bike today as glorious weather but hopefully someone around to ask:) Replaced Headstock bearings on my RD04 (AT) and failed to make sufficient notes for reassembly. If anyone has a reassembly diagram then grateful, if not then good...
  5. Dominator / FMX
Hi to all, I would like to ask what the recommended valve clearances for FMX 650 are. My net research gave me two outcomes: (1) 0.10 (intake) and 0.12 (exhaust) +-0.02 (like in XR650L, Dominator etc) , and (2) 0.10 +-0.02 for both intake and exhaust valves (see here...

I have got the CB750A sorted and have done a few miles on it now the weather has improved. Its different, obviously with the 2 speed and torque converter transmission, most definitely not a racer, but they are used for drag racing in US slightly, VERY modified! Great for bumbling along the...

Was doing a routine check and found that the front axle holder was broken and the nuts on the studs were so loose that they could come off by hand. Anyway as I do not have torque wrench I managed to snap 1 stud off and then was trying to put a temporary support plate which caused the other stud...

I was at the NEC for Motorcycle Live this week, and whilst the pages of the motorcycling press are plastered with "Adventure Bikes", it was noticeable that there weren't any big trail bikes at the show. If you want to spend £20k on 125+bhp and 250kg of touring bike on long travel suspension then...

I'm about to tighten the nuts holding the exhaust down pipe to the cylinder head on my 2002 RD07A. My Haynes manual tells me that the torque setting should be 27nm (or 20 lbft), which strikes me as a bit high considering that I've just done the same job on my CB1300 and the torque setting there...

Hi all I recently bought a 1983 HONDA Xr350 in pieces. I'm slowly getting things back together. My question is right now I am trying to figure out how the kickstart shaft goes in. The shop manual says to set it by rotating the shaft counterclockwise but the pictures show it rotate clockwise so...

Xl600v 1990. Tick over perfect. Open throttle perfect. Whilst riding it's like it's bogging down tops out at 60 eventually no torque. Fuel lines fine, carbs spotless, jets clear. My exhaust is shite but this hasn't changed and it did run perfect? Im not in the position to fork out...

Hello, I recently changed my air filter, and went for a ride. It made a big difference - better sound and more low down torque. On this ride, I stopped for some fish and chips. Went to start my bike and the box next to the battery (relay?) made a clicking noise, but no power to the bike. I...
