I will be buying a new pair of tyres over the winter and have always stuck to tourances BUT been looking at maxxis (seem to be a big saving on the metzellers)) has anyone been using them what are they like in the dry/wet, what kind of mileage did you get any advice appreciated.

Does anyone else think these are poop? Compared to the Metz Tourances on my GS they feel proper twitchy in the damp and not that secure in the dry. Done less than 500 miles and TBH won't be doing too many more on them. new tyres when I get the rims replaced.

Seems all the original spec Tourances are now made in China & not the Fatherland Are they ok, grip wise in the dry & more importantly the wet :) Jap Dunlops from yesteryear put the fear of god on me, still after 30 years Are the China Tourances ok ??? Let's have your views :)

Im'e just about to order a new pair of tourances for the 650. The ones Im'e ordering are S rated and are replacing some H rated which I got from Busters a while ago, they have been superb tyres done over 11,400 miles and have just about worn out together. My question is does anybody know if the...

Hi All Put about 1000 miles on a set of Tourances and really like them. Out of interest, what pressures to you run for road riding? I'm 16 stone and occasionally take pillion Cheers

I've just bought an AT today, it needs new tyres.. I've done a search on here and found a bit of info and seems the Metzeler tourances are a good choice? I will be doing mostly road but hope to do some off road too, I do have plans for a euro on/off road trip at some point but at the moment...

Just re-booted Dolly with a pair of Tourances and I'm unhappy:( They seem all over the place, I know it's grim out there, but my worn out Distenzias were sooooooo much better. (yes I have given them a couple of hundred miles to scrub up;)) Loads of you rave about the Metzelers so I got to...

As Mabel may be wingeing about elsewhere I just popped out for an afternoon ride with our mate on his GSA along the Sarn Helen Road from the mountain centre to neath. Found that the Tourances rode alot better and made progress far easier than the chunky continentals. We carried out several...

After removing the rear wheel earlier and much reading through here and other web sites I have decided that Metzeler Tourances are the way forward - just on the rear for now, as the current front is good for a few more thousand miles. Can I mix the tourance with the original Trailwing, read on...

I'm a novice on my TA and would love to join you at Salisbury this weekend. I've just fitted a new Tourance tyre on the back. I know it's not a Dakar tyre but can anyone please tell me from experience if it will do for the weekends ride. :? :? Are crashbars essential too? :oops...

Had 2 sets of Trailwings which I really liked and gave me confidence but the rears only lasted about 4000 miles (all commuting miles) so tried Tourances. Done about 3,500 miles on these but don't like the feel of them. The bike does'nt seem as stable and they don't seem as grippy in this...
