Hiya, quick question, tubes in tyres , my front tyre has a inner tube in it , my rear tyre is tubeless, do I need inner tubes or not? also looking for new tyres, anakee 3 seem to be the most talked about, are they the best ???? or go for metzlier /bridgstone . Has anybody used mitchlin pilot...
Made a boo boo and bought a tubeless rear tyre.
I've always fitted my own but they've all been tubed tyres.
This one is especially ridged and i reckon could be a bit of a bugger to get on.
Anyone with any experience of fitting tubeless tyres ?
I just received my new tires and figure I will change tubes as well and keep old ones as spares. Everything I have owned for years has been tubeless except my RD03 which came with new tires/wheels and my KLR650 which I changed eons ago. Want Heavy duty but not sure which brands are best. Any...
HI all, i would like to get pirelli scorpion A/T tyres for my 600 transalp. i can get 90/90-21 front in Tube type, problem is can only get Tubeless type tyres in the 130/80-17 which is fitted to my bike. currently running TKC80 but they wear out too quiclky and i do large mileages. question is...
My last bike (600 Alp) and my new AT both have tubed tyres, and it was always in the back of my mind "What happens if I get a puncture?"
I've literally no idea how to change the inner tubes, even though I must have watched a dozen You Tube Videos on 'how-to'. Plus, I really dont fancy the...
Sorry for bringing up what I'm sure is an Old Cheshnut for many ;), but I could do with some advice:
I'm about to fit new tyres (RD04) before a 3-week trip to Morocco. That said, most of the riding will be on tarmac, rather than off-road.
The advice I've had is Heidenau K60s, but I see that...
It's nearly time to get new tyres for my Dommie. No idea how long the current BT-45s have been on there (I've done 7,000 miles on them) but they're well worn now.
What's the weapon of choice for road-going inner-tubed Dommies these days? The Bridgies are ok, if a little squirmy going across...
Need some new rubber, currently running Tourance with tubes
Rang around for some quotes and am being told that you can only get the 90/90/21 for tubed application now, and the 140/80/17 needs to be tubeless?
I'm confused - can I still run a tube in a tubeless rear Tourance?
Just had some Continental TKC 70 delivered and are tubeless. Is this going to cause a problem? Or can I run tubeless in my RD03 AT or would tubes squeeze in??
Any advice would be most grateful.
Just got a pair of Mitas E07 s for my Africa Twin which I plan to fit myself ( it's my first attempt to fit tyres ). I ordered tubed type but they 've sent me a tubeless rear. Question is will the tubeless be harder for me to fit than the tubed type ?
Thanks for any advice :thumbright:
As title, I'm after a tkc80/c6006/t63/trailwing etc in size 120/80-18 or 120/90-18 for a spare bike. Ideally with 50%+ tread remaining.
Im based near worcester or I can sort a courier to collect. Ideally tubeless but tubed is ok.
Have a bit of a dilemna, got quite a long trip planned and would like to put a Heidenau K60 on the front and a K60 Scout on the back of my AT . I had these on my last bike , which ran tubeless ,and I really liked them as they were a great all rounder.
Question is...... knowing how rigid and...
So I bought a new inner tube for my rear -- the LBS assured and reassured me it would be good for my 140 tires, even though the package said 4.5-4.75 (Chen Shing). However after prying the old megastiff tubeless K60 from and preparing for mounting the new ultrastiffer K60 I noticed the tube had...
I am after a tubed or even punctured tubeless 120 or 130 17" TKC80, cant afford a new one yet so I have been scouring ebay and the like but does anyone know of a good place that may have one ????. Ive got a 150 but its just too wide:(
Has anyone converted rims to run with tubeless tyres, Vader posted about tyres and there was a link to an Italian site with O ring spoke tensioners. Just wondered if there were other options

Yet another daft question from me that I think I know the answer to but no harm in checking!! I am just about to purchase 2 new tyres for the AT and have opted for the Conti Trail attacks, could have been the Tourance or the Anakee but hey ho, I've made my mind up on the trail attacks. The...
