The ‘93 600 TA I just bought has had a bit of a meltdown in the relay/regulator area, but been repaired and has run okay for quite a while. Apparently.
When I bought it I pulled the panels, tank and seat off just to have a general inspection. I pulled a few wires out, checked connections and...
Evening all, recently joined the forum after buying myself a ‘93 Transalp. It needs very little doing to it but I’d like to plan some repairs and basics. So, been asked before no doubt, but what’s the best source for buying spares and consumable, cables, electric parts, bearings etc.
I am ordering some connectors to renew and modify parts of the wiring loom on my 1988 RD03, but I can not seem to find connectors for the CDI. Does anyone have a reasonably priced lead on these?
Also, I am at work in Scotland right now, so I can't look at the wires for my self, but from the...
I am faced by an issue where my XRV 750 RD07 is losing power when it reaches 6000rpm. It seems to be a fuel deprivation. Fuel tank has been checked for any impurities. Carburators have been cleaned and 1 diaphragm changed. No coil wires. Any suggestions please?
My stater to Reg/Rec cable fried. I cut the melted plug off to show to my local hardware/mechanic to get a new part.
My dumb ass forgot to label the wires before I cut it off.
So Now I dont know which wire goes where.
I dont think it matters which goes where but I'd like to see...

Do you need to keep a regulator rectifier wired into the bike if you are not having lights horn indicators etc?

I'm going to change the gaskets at the weekend , just been out to spray all the bolts with WD40 and I noticed that there is what looks like a lambda sensor on the collector box but the wires have been cut . Should a carb model have a lambda ? Thought it was for fuel injection ecu's ?
I am fitting a phone holder to my Dommie (1996 RD08). When I came to wire it in I found the pictured wire and connector under the seat above the battery. It has the same type of plug as my phone charger and would be an ideal plug in point if it is a switched connector. It is hard wired...

Just bought some cheap and cheerful led spotlights and noticed that they have 3 wires, red ,yellow and black. Any idea why I would have 3 wires and is it safer to run them straight from the battery via a fuse and a handlebar switch??
Thanks in advance
