No problem I thought, as Wiseco do them for the XR650L - which is the same as the Dominator right?
Does anyone know 100% for sure if this is true of all XR650L motors because the Wiseco catalogue does not...

I own an AT XRV 650 and recently I've bought Wiseco K696 kit from Amazon at a nice price.
This kit is originally made for NT 650 GT Hawk which shares the same engine with AT XRV 650.
I just did a 40 mile test ride on my dommie after fitting a wiseco piston and doing a head re-furb.
I checked the plug and its an oily/sooty black colour.

I have just fitted my new Wiseco piston from an XR 650 but when the piston is at TDC it stops 5mm from the top of the barrel.
Is it supposed to be like that or should it be flush with the top?
Wouldnt that make the compression too low?
