I have just bought a 05 xr125l it does however need a new carb. I have found carbs that will fit and work but none seem to have the heater like the stock one fitted. If I got a standard carb with no heater will it run ok or so I need one with the carb heater. thank you :)

Hi All, I have been looking at the requirements for ULEZ bikes, and I cannot work out if my 600 will pass or not? I called Honda and they cannot give me a CoC for the bike (too old). Has anyone had the emissions (I think it is only the NoX output that they care about?!) tested? Am I able to get...

How do I'm after some help/advice about the oil warning lights on the 700. Riding in to work today - second day back after a week or so off - and one of the red lights on the dash starts flashing. Initially it blinked a couple of times, but then came on and off under acceleration and braking...

Thinking of spoiling the old machine and replacing the 21year old rear shock. The YSS units that Wemoto sell seem to get great reports when fitted to the little CRF250L, so I was thinking of trying one out. Anyone on here tried one on a 600 Alp? I have prices up a Wilbers for it as well -...

Yesterday I started on the brake re-build for my RD03. This bike had been sitting for a few years with the brake systems drained and partially disassembled. Problem: How to remove the old crusty brake pistons from the caliper while not destroying them in case they can be cleaned up and...

Hello ladies and gents, So, right in to it. As the title states my 2000 RD07 J-spec if that matters won't start. Quick clarification, I've hunted through the forum and thought I was on the right track on the parts I changed out. Symptoms: Fired it up this morning warmed up and idled fine, rode...

My 1994 RD07A is intermittently missing a beat at idle? It does need some carb work and is idleing a little high. But every once in a while it seems to have a little hiccup. There is a mechanical “click” sound then a miss in the RPMs. It’s just for an instant, then returns to normal. This...

Hello folks I'm hoping you can help me pinpoint the cause of a peculiar looking issue with the 700. A bit of background; I've had the bike for a couple of years and recently had the engine rebuilt by a Honda dealer to repair a stripped output shaft. The splines the sprocket mounts onto had...

Here I have a 3 part set of Nonfango hard luggage. It was removed from a 2002 XRV750 but you may know if it will fit other models. There is a 52 litre top box which will take 2 full face helmets and 2 panniers which are a sort of teardrop shape, one end narrower then the other. the top plate...

Hi all, I'm trying to work out what a couple of the electrical components on my RD03 are doing. I would like to carry spares for all of the 'game over' failure parts when touring. I don't understand why the indicator relays have two different part numbers, anyone got a clue? 38301KJ6743 -...

Hello everybody, My name is Stewart, I have just bought my first Africa Twin, a 1994 model. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am split between Mid Wales and Wiltshire at the moment, and I am looking to get away across to Germany in the next few weeks if work allows it! Thanks

Had a bit of a nightmare yesterday after installing new pistons reassembling the heads and getting the engine back in the frame quite nicely disaster struck. When torquing down the small 6mm bolt in the cylinder head it snapped like a bit of cheese. As usual this was the last bolt. To fit a...

Sorry to bore you guys with this but I would appreciate your input. I have aquired a 52 plate, September 2002, AT 750 with 60,000 miles on the clock and a buggered output shaft. I have read most of the threads regarding this topic and seen the posts and pictures of the Spendler sprocket and the...
