I've just obtained an XR650L oil pump (15100-MY6-670)
I understood this to be a worthwhile upgrade from the standard NX5650 oil pump
But it doesn't seem to fit.
It does fit following some minor mods outlined later on in this thread.
Has anyone rebuilt a dominator oil pump?
I have 2 pumps neither one works.
Is it a worthwhile to buy the new inserts?
I have been looking for a replacement oil pump but after wasting more money
On a second hand pump, I think either a new pump or new inserts is the way to go

Just got myself the Mosfet upgrade from the states and harness from Eastern Beaver, question is the connection to the alternator with the three yellow wires has a white plastic connector similar to the original, is it worthwhile me bypassing this and just hardwiring the connection ?
I'm in the process of renewing one of the bearings in the suspension linkage of my 2002 RD07A as it was a MoT failure. But I was wondering if it was possible to convert the loose needle bearings to sealed caged bearings.
Has anyone done this? Is it worthwhile? What are the benefits?
Apart from the CRD Rad braces, i've fitted some stainless steel meshes to the front of the rads so's to keep the debris from getting in between the fins of the rad. Tried & tested in numerous enduros, H&Hs & greenlane miles.
Acerbis handguards & a carbon fibre clutch master cylinder protector...

I think this definately deserves a couple of quid, if you think the same then you know what to do :)
