Anyone know what the cause of a slight staining under the front cylinder carb intake manifold to cylinder is?
Its a light golden colour(presumably heat has coloured what may initially be a clear deposit of something)
It sits just below the carb to cylinder rubber intake manifold rubber and im assuming its a fuel stain even though the rubber is tight and doesnt appear to be particularly old/hardened.
I noticed a video on youtube of a guy adjusting mixture on a 600v (2min 58 secs on the link below) and noticed his cylinder had the same discolouration.
It wipes off 80% but im wondering if how common it is and if others have rectified or can confirm what causes it

Me too.
I remove the spacer on the carb clamps and give them a little extra nip up, too much will deform them
