I am having trouble dipping the mainbeam. The switch only works if I press and hold the button very hard for a couple of seconds, sometimes repeatedly. And by the then need is usually passed anyway! It works spot on going back to mainbeam. I'm not very confident on LX. Any advice on dismantling the switch and having a look at the contacts? Cheers Dave

There should be a couple of phillips head screws goint up from the bottom of the switch, remove them, this should allow you to remove the switch from the bars, don't disassemble the switch internals or you could have springs & stuff pinging into oblivion.....

Spray some wd40 type stuff towards the dim/main switch while working it - it'll probably come right ;)

Mine was doing exactly the same. It just had a good dose of wd and seems to have freed it off after a load of pressing to get it lubed in the switch
