[Vaquero Media Noche]

Split the cases on 97 XRV750 but now during assembly the rear cylinder cam shaft sprocket timing marks slightly off...could it be off one tooth on lower sprocket, any suggestions? As you can see in attached photo the left side horizontal mark is about a half or quarter tooth below the right horizontal mark...could it be the timing chain is off one tooth on the lower sprocket...?

Ensure those 2 index lines are parallel with the head. Fit the sprocket onto the camshaft and align the bolt holes so that the TDC indicator
'notch' on the sprocket end of the camshaft faces 'up' and the cam lobes face down. I can't see the notch in the pic because of the camshaft holder.
I'm sure you know the consequences if your timing is off. If you feel it's not aligned then start over.
