Last weekend a mate offered me his XT350 to ride around on near his home in Spain, in the Huescar area. It´s a great little bike, and neither the weather nor the roads were crap :D

The tyres weren´t very good in the mud though

But no problem in the gravel or dry compacted dirt

A straight :D

Another straight 8)

This valley had a few straights like these, always crossed by perfect crossroads leading to more straights, always with great visibility and no traffic

Great bikes the XT's

Does exactly what it says on the tin!

I enjoyed it a lot, it ran out of steam when facing a headwind at over 50mph, and showed 80 mph when slightly downhill, tremendously easy in the dirt and super fun. Also, kickstarting it is very cool 8)

Regarding the straights, if you ride for 10 miles you get to the hills, but the straights are liberating and freedom inspiring, I like them
